  1. I'm relieved to be only ?40 down. The Package should also have won though and I'll go with McGrath's tips again tomorrow.

Still a loss overall for the day but good to get the winner of the last :))
  3. Knew someone mentioned binocular :'(
  4. The Package came second - should have won as passed the winner just after the line.....booger. Ran a good race should perhaps have been in a better position coming to the second last.
  5. Would you like some golf gear - or is that too ridiculous for normal people?

    a joke

Not sure it would work. There are currently no conservative politicians of any importance. But maybe in a couple of months time.
  9. Arkle tomorrow The betting suggested that Nicky Henderson was going to collect a third win in this race from five renewals as RIVERSIDE THEATRE was well backed by punters. He made a good start to his chasing career with a smooth success at Newbury (the runner-up had already franked the form) and followed that up with another accomplished round of jumping. His winning record is impressive and he can make his way to the top if staying healthy. Connections suggested afterwards that he may go to the Arkle in March without another run as he goes well fresh, but they may find something in early February if they felt he needed more experience. His odds are much longer than they should be with some bookmakers for Cheltenham, merely because he does not had the same high profile as others.

  15. He's a driven man - almost "Faldo like" when it comes to winning meaningless titles.

  17. It was a race run at a strong enough pace, and that was exactly what SOLWHIT required as he won his fifth Grade 1 race in nine months and put himself forward as the most likely winner of the Champion Hurdle. This race was run at more of a Cheltenham pace than any other he has contested this season. He travelled well and jumped as fluently as he ever has, perhaps hit a flat spot for a few strides after the second-last, but really picked up well after a good jump at the last, putting distance between himself and some good horses. Everything suggests the particular test of 2m around Cheltenham in the Champion will suit him better than most, and in addition the way his jumping has improved this season takes away the one potential flaw he has. He looks likely to take some beating in March.

  20. I bet on some donkey called lifestyle at the weekend. Odds on and lost. Looking to my France bet to fund my Cheltenham bets though. I'm assuming England don't have what it takes to upset the Franch. If a lose on Cheltenham and then England also upset the French I won't be happy!
