I have to say the name Rory gets mixed reactions MP - especially from the mother in law (not so keen on irish names it seems). But I have always liked it and its going to be more mainstream if rory mcilroy keeps up the good work!

Yeah I was swottingB) I was there monica - my children managed to follow the donkey the whole way down the road and get first into the grotto! good fun. thanks.

Why do you keep insulting people - Do you think arsenal can win the league bearing in mind recent performances? As man united are losing to fulham it looks like anyones league this year.
  5. rafa has lost it now.has got to go.

Thats what i was getting at. The G word is the latest word you cant use. In all honesty i have only heard it used a couple of times in our daughters 4 years.
  7. Yorkies are not for girls Daizie. Sorry. http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=tbn:g0doL3SqsGAuoM::www.nyu.edu/classes/siva [seriously, I am sorry your little dog suffered - hope he gets better]
  8. Well its hard to deny they have had some opportunities missed recently SP. One or two is forgivable, but 3 suggests they don't have it. But like the end of last season, they can go on a run at any time and thats what they need to do now to make sure MU and Chelsea do not disappear over the horion. I hope they keep in touch, I'm an arsenal fan this season just because I backed them, but I have to say in paying more attention to them, I am now really beginning to enjoy watching them. The Burnley result worried me though.
  9. Ginger is a word that has been pretty much dropped from popular vocabulary - my daughther has bright orange (ginger) hair and all she ever hears is "haven't you got lovely hair" so I reckon the ginger correction has gone so far the other way she might not have to deal with much "gingerism". Anyway as far as she is concerned her hair is orange and its a brave man who would tell her different.
  10. Same midwife Quids - so I'm sure its a general, "You're the daddy so you deserve it" type prescription.
  11. Arsenal having made headway last weekend completely messed it up in mid week. Have to say I doubt their calibre now, too many slip ups against mediocre teams already (eg west ham:)) ). A bit worrying. I thought they had some bad luck in earlier matches but too many recent cock ups suggest they don't have enough grit. Roy Keane's motto when MU captain is something Arsenal could bear in mind: "Match them for effort and our class will tell". Arsenal definately have the class but do they have the effort to beat the lesser teams.
  12. I'm afraid I think Fosters nowadays seems very watery. About 10 years ago I stopped buying stella and switched to Carling as the beer I would have in the fridge generally - think that was a good move as after 2/3 cans of stella you would actually feel it having a significant effect, so tend to avoid it. Friday night dad's club I'm usually Carling - tonight I feel I deserve a large whisky (even the midwife said so, so its medically prescribed, so to speak.)
  13. Sorry Keef - did not know you were "in the house" - I know you like a ciggy, but the above post was not aimed at anyone. Having become a dad again this week, it makes me think of my own Dad and it was the ciggies that were the end of him i'm afraid. He stayed clear of booze as there is a bit of it in our family history, but the ciggies are really worth giving up (imo).
  14. Quids - may I remind you that this is a Friday Night Dad's club - not an AA meeting. Goodness gracious. To be honest I should think the same, but for me the recommended units is too low to achieve, or even want to achieve. I think you can drink more than is recommended but as you say with big drinking in the past you have to be careful of your overall health. Fortunatley I have never been a smoker and I think smoking and drinking is a very a bad combo.
  15. "The Priests" are on Jonathan Ross tonight. I might watch it to see what all of the fuss is about.
  16. Monica - you should be at home preparing for your big day tomorrow....I always think last minute cramming pay off, unless you are the girly swot type and have it all organised?
  17. I just drink nothing in November, and feel then I can drink like Shane MacGowan the rest of the year and expect that people will only remember November. Whereas - its really me that can only remember November. Just finishing the 2 stellas kindly donated by the NCT Mum and will move on to my christmas present from my wife, opened early, the 12 year old Strathisla...... Why do woman keep giving me alcohol. In fact the lady who brought the curry and the beers round said she did not feel she could stretch to the stripper as well. Do I come across that much of a lad?...
  18. Yes - not capable of original thought you see. I'll be passing on Al Murray jokes next.
  19. And the drink of choice for the headwetting is? the Amber nectar?
  20. Arsenal 3 v 1 Hull Aston Villa 3 v 0 Stoke Blackburn 2 v 1 Tottenham Fulham 2 v 2 Man Utd Man City 2 v 1 Sunderland Portsmouth 0 v 2 Liverpool Everton 3 v 2 Birmingham West Ham 3 v 2 Chelsea Wolves 3 v 2 Burnley Wigan 1 v 1 Bolton
  21. "Santa loves all children, even ginger ones." You can't get away with that these days.....no more jokes please.
  22. Hilarious - Irish Parliamentarian says it how it is.... You tell him mate....
  23. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I got a feeling MM may be having a proper Friday > Night Dad's night....we're still twiddling our > thumbs! Eh - no more thumb twiddling Quids - lets have an online headwetting. I had no beer in, but another mum from our original NCT group delivered a surprise homemade curry and 2 stellas to my door! how about that, fantastic. Needless to say anyone can join in, Quids may be busy changing nappies.
