  1. Well, I'm not sure about this theory, if Christmas sprout emissions are anything to go by?
  2. 1st Man - I walked the whole way to that new street market the other day, you know the one near Camberwell. 2nd Man - Walworth? 1st Man - No, a complete waste of time.
  3. 1st Man - Someone told me yesterday that Karen Carpenter was buried somewhere near Moorgate 2nd Man - Finsbury? 1st Man - It was yes....and an easy day for the pallbearers.
  4. Now i know what to buy bob as a wedding present. Provided the blow off rice maker is on his wedding list of course.
  5. 1st man: We just bought a house in the road near the new school in East Dulwich. 2nd man: Goodrich? 1st man: I was, but I'm not any more.
  6. how did you clean it wolf? Ironing is surely the least of your problems but for ironing id suggest a tea towel over the tie.?
  7. I think we all agree that Legal. Absolutely. But just in case you think otherwise, I don't think there has been any denial, by anyone, on this trhead, of the events that were mentioned in the OP. I'm just saying this to make sure that noone is unintentionally misrepresented. Not to start the thread rolling again.

Did you speak to him? I took his photo when I saw him at a concert and he was not impressed, initially at least - I thought these celebs had their photos taken all the time. He was ok ultimately though. Bit silly but I expected him to be a funny, happy go lucky.
  9. Spurs could have stolen that with penalty. And defoe on my FF team too. drat.

Ha - Nice one Rosie. You are licensed to wear sackcloth at the next EDF drinks as your punishment. I hear its painful though, so you can compromise by wearing skimpy sackcloth. I'm sure all the girls will come out in sympathy.
  11. Monica - I have just come across this and I've promised my kids I'll take them along. Thanks for all your many efforts for ED.:)) Mick.
  12. I bought one this morning from "The Christmas Forest", which is in the car park on the a205 opposite the Harvester. They have a large selection and friendly staff. Most trees are grown in the UK. ?39 for a 6ft one - a norwegian spruce - quite expensive but a really good looking tree - but the smaller ones are much cheaper and they have both cheaper and more expensive varieties and potted ones too. Sorry Cam, just went with my wife's recommendation in the end. Good luck.
  13. Most importantly. Did people dress up for this one as Rosie had hoped?
  14. Declan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I disagree. I expected all people would of course be abhorred by the issue. Of course we all are. But I started the thread with great anger against the catholic church, a church that I had long ago left behind and one I really have a dislike for. What I did not expect was that due to the route taken by the debate, I myself would end up trying to defend a pro catholic against a non catholic. And I found out a lot about people during the debate. Its best for a thread to drift off topic from time to time. It allows people to express themselves and show their true colours.
  15. Can I say that after 20 years living in London, I too am really excited about Englands prospects. I feel, like everyone else, that they have a decent chance. So will be right behind England come next June.
  16. Waters still in tact then? We have Indian take away about to arrive....

Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > On the contrary I think Chelsea's inability to > control the game in possession terms may show > there is hope for the chasing teams, Can I be really boring and quote my own comment from after the Arsenal Chelsea game....Was not completly convinced by Chelsea. And after today, its a little closer.
  20. Came second I see. Not to worry.
  21. Administrator Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Please refrain from making personal attacks on > each other on the forum, they will not be > tolerated. If this is aimed at me, I don't think its justified. Monica has been taking a hammering on this thread for days with no intevention.
  22. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > She's a fallen woman Mick. Only in my mind Jah, but I doubt she is too concerned about that.
  23. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I would just like to finally declare that yes I > did apply for this show some time ago and was > turned down. > Louisa. You are probably too good a cook for the show Louisa.
