  1. At Streatham and Marlborough Cricket Club, located on Lordship Lane, we have already had a great Junior cricket season across age groups from U8 to U15, both girls and boys. We have built an excellent coaching team and Friday nights have been enjoyed by everyone.

We are now offering places on our cricket summer camps, using our regular coaching team and the great facilities we have at our club. The camps are on for the first four weeks of the school summer holidays Monday to Thursday, between 9.30am and 5pm. The camps will be full of cricket skills, coaching, games and competitions as well as other fun activities all lead by very experienced coaches.

There is more information on the [www.streathammarlboroughcc.co.uk] website explaing whats happening on different weeks and what young cricketers need to bring. Use the website to ask any questions and booking is on line or by contact.

Not only is a great opportunity for kids to learn new skills in a great environment but also to develop their game and make new friends.

We look forward to seeing you there.

  3. On Fri March 31st there is a big event happening at one of East Dulwich's cricket clubs.

Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club has been chosen by the England & Wales Cricket Board ahead of 2500+ other clubs as the national focus club for NatWest CricketForce.

On the day, the ECB will be at the club filming a video and there will be former and current England players at the club, as well as some Surrey players.

The aim of CricketForce is to mobilise the club's members and local community to repair, prepare and improve the club's facilities.

If members of the local community are willing to lend a hand, or if a local business would like to donate materials or a prize to our fundraising raffle, or would like to sponsor the club in and other way, we would very much welcome any such support.

Your support will help us to get more of the local community active playing sport and engaged in an important social hub for the area that cuts across all ages and backgrounds, for boys, girls, women and men.

There are more details on our website here:

To contact the club about this event, please see the contact details on the linked-to page above.

  4. Hi everyone. Just a quick update to say that we're proud to announce that this weekend we'll be having possibly our first every Under 8s match - a friendly against Old Whitgiftians! Hopefully a few more Under 8s matches in the pipeline too.

And we're particularly keen to recruit a few more Under 12 (year 7) and Under 13 (year 8) players at the moment. New joiners in these age groups are likely to get a lot of matches. :-) If interested, ping us on [email protected]

  5. Know someone in school year 1-10 who would like to learn and play cricket? Come and join us! We?re actively seeking more players in all age-groups and kids can join a training session for free to see how they like it.

We?re sure they will. We have well over 100 cricket-mad kids, a mixture of boys and girls, from complete beginners to Surrey District and London Schools players, training and playing matches with us every week. Perhaps your kids will be the next Ben Stokes or Sarah Taylor. Let?s find out!

Our coaching is led by a professional cricket coach who also works in many schools and is experienced coaching youth teams at county level. Our coaching support staff are also ECB accredited and DBS checked. Training sessions are lots of fun and kids learn and use the full range of cricket skills, even in our youngest age-group. It?s amazing to watch them playing full-on pairs cricket!

    2016 summer training (mid-April to mid-July):

    Mon 18:00-19:30 ? School years 1-3 (Under 6 ? Under 8)

    Tues 18:00 ? 20:00 ? School years 7-10 (Under 12 ? Under 15)

    Wed 18:00 ? 20:00 ? School years 4-6 (Under 9 ? Under 11)

We break for May half term - there is no training on 30th & 31st May and 1st June. The season ends shorty before the summer holidays.

Our fees (see http://bit.ly/1XSW6Yr) are great value and on par with other local cricket clubs, but we also offer our ?everyone gets a game policy? ? meaning that in age-groups that play matches against other clubs, we aim to ensure every player gets the chance to play at least 3 matches, as long as they can safely and enjoyably do so.

Interested? Email us now at [email protected] and we?ll get back to you normally within a few hours.

Even if the session you want to join is the same evening, that?s usually possible. We?d love to see you there.

We also run indoor training during autumn/winter, normally from November to March.

We're located between East Dulwich and Forest Hill, near the junction of Lordship Lane and the South Circular near the former Grove Tavern/Harvester, Tile Giant and Bathstore.
