  1. the tall Big Issue seller, now moved to Sainsbury near the Library, a man of gentle persuasion He's back outside the Co-Op after some 'turf wars', poor guy recently had his money stolen. My friend told me he was mentioned on here and I suggested she let him know, may give him a boost...

  3. Some good ideas, feel I'll definitely factor in more walking anyway!
  4. At St Christophers I found that they price as a dress as, well just a dress; regardless of whether it is McQueen or Primark. This is untrue. I personally heard a customer ask for a price for a lovely dress, and the reason given for a rather high number was that it was a 'designer' brand.
  5. Anyone travelling to Covent Garden regularly? I go against the rush hour, so start work at 5pm, but the 176 is arduous to say the least. Don't mind walking a bit of the way, especially at the other end.
  6. Does anyone have a particular recommendation for a company? Fed up with Specsavers constantly being out of stock and looking for a better/cheaper deal

When things are not up to scratch for selling, or simply to surplus, they are 'ragged' so money is still raised!

Agreed Sue which is why I chose my times to visit certain things that may have children attached. Nothing against them but it's a choice. I'm glad art galleries/museums are not seen as bastions of silent worship any more and welcome the small people but the next step is getting the adults with them to police (outrageous not normal) behaviour.
  9. What a shame, I was waiting the little darlings to go back to school, but I'm seriously disappointed in any grabbing behaviour, where were the staff?

  11. I'm suddenly the recipient of a lot more spam email - vile stuff covered in heart symbols offering sex BUT when I click the 'Block' button it informs me I'm blocking all emails from...my own email address? Baffled
  12. Thanks all!
  13. Any suggestions for a family Sunday lunch which will also be a big birthday for my mum? she's quite conservative with food, so a good Sunday roast would be good with maybe some other choices for the rest of us!

Seabag how did you find accommodation and was it close to the gallery?

Some free stuff so you don't have to pay always. The new butterfly house has me excited! I'm waiting until the kids are back at school before I visit

  24. Not crap at all is an outdoor sculpture exhibition in Regent's Park at the moment. Mixed show-something for everyone
  25. Oxford St is deeply uninspiring. Madame T is prohibitively expensive but still you get queues! There are so many places to see, I like in particular to recommend Postman's Park behind St Pauls, and the wellcome Collection. Also nearby is St Pancras Crypt Gallery. Tate Tanks are always worth a look.
