I remember an incident when a guy seemed alone in tackling 3 or 4 youths, he had hold of one and was determined not to let go. I called the police and stood nearby. It was only when one of the other teens grabbed a glass bottle (guessing with the intention of using it against the guy) that 2 other passers by got involved, both male. It was reassuring because they'd obviously been keeping an eye out but it wasn't obvious.

Sue, hunting is indeed illegal, unfortunately many hunts have the support (and attendance) of the big wigs of the local constabulary. A cat sanctuary was recently invaded by a hunt and some of the cats are still missing, many were traumatised. Taking vitamin D has changed my 'winter' mood somewhat. Buy some 'daylight' light bulbs or a sunrise lamp, worth the investment.

Also the Christmas tree outside Forest Hill station was there for ages after 12th night, might even still be!
