  1. On a similar note, I travelled from a SE postcode (SE22) to another SE postcode (SE10) and it took me longer to get there than my friend travelling from Bloody Shepherd's Bush! Sums it up for me
  2. I once took a lift in a high rise with a mum/toddler and she was verbally abusive, towards the child, not even hiding it from me. At the time I was working with a council agency and reported it. One incident but if that happened in public, who knows about behind closed doors...
  3. I found a watch on an early morning dog walk, Green Dale nearish Townley Road end, Distinctive face. PM me please
  4. Tart in Lordship Lane is advertising
  5. Local Councillor could get involved, if the property is council owned then a housing officer could be instructed to visit/investigate. Good luck
  6. Make your own pizza! it's fun and time consuming too. Have varied toppings available. Hummus is usually a winner, with nachos etc. Chocolate Fountain!
  7. Their portions are generous and if you order pasta it's done 'proper', I rarely eat pasta but I will here! Good staff, often see a customer chatting away in Italian to the staff whilst enjoying a civilised long lunch with wine, pure bliss.
  8. I'm risking sounding like a broken record but MEET-UP is a great way to get out, socialise and even try things you normally wouldn't! www.meet-up.com
  9. I remember an incident when a guy seemed alone in tackling 3 or 4 youths, he had hold of one and was determined not to let go. I called the police and stood nearby. It was only when one of the other teens grabbed a glass bottle (guessing with the intention of using it against the guy) that 2 other passers by got involved, both male. It was reassuring because they'd obviously been keeping an eye out but it wasn't obvious.

  11. Sue, hunting is indeed illegal, unfortunately many hunts have the support (and attendance) of the big wigs of the local constabulary. A cat sanctuary was recently invaded by a hunt and some of the cats are still missing, many were traumatised. If I had a furry friend living that close to a hunt I would be very worried. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/cats-hunt-fox-hounds-deer-sussex-hastings-celia-hammond-a8151911.html
  12. I'm listening now to R4 and there is an article discussing the estate, it's architect and living there. Interesting.

That's horrendous mfdesign, hope your wife is ok.

Thanks again everyone x Might be useful to get blood tests from the GP just to eliminate any medical issues x
  20. Taking vitamin D has changed my 'winter' mood somewhat. Buy some 'daylight' light bulbs or a sunrise lamp, worth the investment.
  21. Also the Christmas tree outside Forest Hill station was there for ages after 12th night, might even still be!
  22. Easier to do it through 'SurveyMonkey' I can't open this
  23. There's a thread in the lounge
  24. How about a sponsor dog? You get photos and letters and can even visit?
