  6. It does look like testing for a cause of repeat infections would be essential - my daughter had ultrasounds and a nuclear medicine scan. Whether she is holding on because of fear of pain, or because of some physical cause, that needs to be checked out.

  9. Most of us don't have much experience of babies at all till we have our own, even I must say I found my first child minder was incredibly skilled at baby soothing etc I still rely on some work mates (all grandmothers, even great grandmothers) for advice at times
  10. It can't be underestimated, the difficulty of early pArenthood without our own family close by Humans are social animals and we have evolved to live in groups precisely to that this sort of task can be shared amongst 'the tribe' with older women, in particular, available to care for the new mother and baby To try to manage alone is not what we are designed for It's not easy
  11. Oops Glad someone is awake! Looks like it might be one of the adventure playgrounds for us this afternoon. I will be the one chasing after a 20m old while my twin 4 year ols climb up the high bits and shriek 'mummeeeeee!' from opposite directions

Is his poo yellow? Why do you think he's dehydrated? That's cause for concern
