OK, you start. Tell us what you've been through.

I'm with MM too. The same naive tree-huggers think that foxes and badgers are such cuddly, lovely little creatures. They must be, because they first saw them in children's books. GG

Thank you, Green Goose. Many thanks for the words of support Alex. The treatment also acts as a strong laxative which actually does the fox a favour as it helps clear them of worms. I grew up on a farm where foxes were treated as vermin , and rightly so, as they spread a variety of diseases to humans and other animals -just like badgers do. ( Now puts on tin hat). The majority of city people probably have formed the view that foxes are benign visitors from the countryside. If they only knew the baggage they came with , they might change that view. They need to have a reality check for the sake of their health and particularly their children's health. I suggest they paste this link into their browser:- http://www.foxolutions.co.uk/index.php?main_page=fox_problems

These scrotes have it down to a fine art. You may think it's too heavy to steal readily but these types go fully tooled up to steal. In both the above cases they would have used a hand pulled pallet lifter ie the type that has a hydraulic lifter and is fitted with rollers. They were probably using hi-viz vests and would have used the pallet lifter to move the heavy object round the corner so that they could load up away from the scene. There would be a minimum of three in the team with one staying in their small truck/van all the time ready to take off if there was a problem. The other two would split. These guys have nothing else to do other than steal so they spend a great deal of time cruising around looking for opportunities and casing a likely opportunity. They will then come back later at the best time for them. If they get caught (unlikely), then the courts will give them a slap on the wrist. They still get to claim benefits and they carry on stealing. They will earn more than most of us.

Yep, the urine does work but is best repeated over several days. Also, if they have been fed by someone nearby they will keep coming back to that area so then the best way is to put on a pair of rubber gloves (to avoid leaving scent) and then make up a sandwich generously laced with mustard and chilli. Then roll it up like a swiss roll and tie together with some sowing thread so it won't come apart. Make sure no mustard/chilli gets squeezed out at the ends. Then smear the outside of the roll with scrapings from a roasting tray. They never come back for seconds after that!

Ok, try this..... Given that rubber is a good insulator ( eg your scooter's tyres), I suggest you put the scooter stand on a thick rubber insulator and hook the scooter up to the mains 220v. That will stop them, Just don't forget off switch off before you go out in the morning! It's just an example, but you could do lots of similar things whereby the scrotes who touche your vehicle make a connection to earth which then triggers an event - eg discharge of a capacitor to give a really sharp shock. Or it could trigger a small audio alarm. There's lots of ways of skinning the proverbial.... Good luck & don't take any prisoners, just get your retribution in first!

edresi10 Wrote: > > Police in London were ordered to "stand and > observe" rather than intervene or confront. This stupid "stand and observe" policy was imposed on our squaddies in Iraq and Afghanistan, so you would have a situation where a Taliban would be observed planting an I.E.D. and our squaddies were not allowed to take him out. In fact they were not allowed to shoot any Taliban unless that ONE particular Taliba was actively shooting at them at that precise time. Not allowed also if the Taliban had been shooting 2 minutes previously but had later stopped firing. That is why our army became a laughing stock in Iraq and was totally ineffective during its last 3 years there. And it is why we have so many brave young lads blown up in Afghanistan by IEDs. Why don't you liberals get real? gg

The > last thing we want is mob rule. Better to stay out > of the way and help the police do their job. What a load of liberal tosh. In these situations the police cannot be everywhere so leaving it just to the police is abdicating one's responsibility as contributing member of society. It is simply whimping out! Self-reliance and cooperation with fellow members of the local community is the way to beat this. Taking a tough stance together and resisting these thugs is the way to go. Bring back the birch and public humiliation for these wanton looters and arsonists. GG

mockney piers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Seriously if you approve of shooting people on > sight or driving vans into crowds I suggest you > move back there. Mockney, why don't you read my post thoroughly without doing a knee jerk. I said that these measures are taken when a curfew is declared and people are seen to be committing these acts. Oh, and just to let you know what happens elsewhere, in another country, they take a convicted felon in to a football stadium, just before a match, and then they hoist them from the end of a JCB by a rope around the neck. It sure does cut the crime rate! GG

The politicians, the bleeding heart liberals, the PC brigade, the smart layers paid from legal aid and the lenient judges have reduced the police force into a powerless, disrespected and ineffectual body. They all should be totally ashamed of themselves. When are the spineless English authorities going to actually do something to save this country from total disintegration? Just watch the Yobs go to court and get a slap on the wrist as usual. Where I came from a curfew would have been declared and any looters breaking the curfew would be shot on sight. Elsewhere, like in Russia, the police would simply drive a truck at speed into any crowd that was looting and committing arson. If anyone turned up at hospital later for treatment they would be arrested. People dont do crime if they know they will be caught and severly punished. Fact!

Policing changes DEMO in East Dulwich

James Barber Wrote: > > Effectively the SNT concept is being killed. If the SNT comprises the "plastic policemen" that don't have any powers then we are better off without them. As a member of the public, I can do a citizen's arrest. They can't do anything more. A waste of space. They are just as useless as the Community Officers that go round in red day-glo vests. Why we should have to pay council tax to support these worthless 'services'? GG -
Pathetic Tarot, you really must try and knock these chips off your shoulders. The parachute drops were part of regular training exercise which would have to be done anyway. When my cousin was a para he had to do a minimum of 4 day and 4 night jumps every year. So where it's done is of no significance. Doing it over Alleyn's makes sense as the school has one of the largest CCF (Combined Cadet Force) operations in the UK and would be of direct interest to the cadets. Pupils attend CCF in their own time after school hours. It is very useful in building team spirit, instill self-confidence and develop leadership skills. Quite a few ex cadets go on to have careers in the military - serving the country.

Lots of cutbacks in services but never any slowing down of the increases in salary for the top executives on the council. Annie Shepperd, chief executive of Southwark council, earned ?224,736 in 2009/10 according to the South London Press. http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/news.cfm?id=32116&headline=Council%20bosses'%20pay%20makes%20England%20top%2010 I know what I would cut! Send it back to them in an envelop with no stamp. Then they have they have to decide whether or not they go to the PO to pay the outstanding postage to get envelope. They have no idea what is in it until they pay the postage. -

ruffers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Why don't you ask the councillor for his help in > the thread set up for that very purpose? Because having multiple subjects or matters on a single thread just complicates matters. One subject per thread is the way most fora are organised. Maybe better to have a dedicated area for Council matters? GG

(please see link below, this topic has been discussed previously - The Administrator) James, Not content with commandeering scarce parking spaces on L.L. for his stock of cars for sale, this trader is now placing cars on the pavement. Apart obstructing the pavement, he has erected bollards and drilled 12 bolt holes for them through the paving slabs. Your views please. Thanks, GG

I am quite taken by your bit about an unspecified contingency fund. I recall how the Olympics expenditure progressed from the original budget of ?2Bn. First the contingency fund was swallowed up and now the budget forecast is upwards of ?12 Bn. Coming up with another expensive pre-election bribe like this (and home care for all) is utter madness. The country is fast approaching fiscal bankruptcy and you want to incur yet more expenditure. Even the new Labour stealth taxes of the last 13 years have been unable to meet the reckless spending that has taken place. Brown's promise of keeping excess expenditure in balance over the so-called economic cycle was a crass con trick as he kept on extending the parameters for the economic cycle. Labour is implementing an economic scorched-earth strategy knowing that they can't win the next election and any incoming government will be extremely unpopular (and short-lived) as it will be compelled to take drastic action (like Ireland and Greece) to get the matters back on an even keel. It's all d?j? vu - having seen the death throes of three Labour Governments (Wilson, Callaghan and now Brown). They always end in bankruptcy. Too much tax. Too much spend. Businesses closed down and unemployment higher than ever. I am neither pro Labour, pro Tory or pro Lib Dem but I will vote Labour this time just to get Labour back in again so that you can reap the inevitable whirlwind they have sown. Then they will get kicked out and consigned to political oblivion. Labour is leaving a poisoned chalice. Drink from it. -

What are the detailed costings? How many schools will need new/bigger kitchens or will meals be transported in? How many more staff will it take to produce the meals and administer the system?? What are the capital and marginal costs? Has it been thought though at all or is it just another "shoot from the hip" (or is it the lip) from Gordon Broon in pre-election mode. Or maybe you can stretch the economic cycle yet again to accommodate the excess expenditure? Tell me how it will be done, please. I can't wait. GG
