  1. Dear Renata Hamvas It would be appreciated if you could please bring us up to date with the above regarding Solomons Passage. I look forward to hearing
  2. Following the above can you bring us fully up to date on how these residents, leaseholders and shared ownership people are faring. There has been a lack of information on how this is being solved. I am writing for an up date as I have been told that many initial offers are not being honored and it a case of take what we offer or lump it. Even Hariett Harman does not respond to emails regarding this now. I am sure that others would be interested as it does appear that this has been allowed to drop of the radar and hoping no one will raise it. I look forward to reading your response
  3. Burtons the Tailors Hepworth the tailors Kennedys Dunns
  4. http://www.2.southwark.gov.uk/downloads/download/4766/bellenden_gyratory_option_2 This is the visual plan of the scheme. Looks sensible

  6. is the Nandos card on a par with the American Express? ?Black Card?
  7. Because it should never have been implemented in the first place.
  8. I have seen riders come round Bellenden onto Chadwick moving immediately from left to right into the inside lane close to the pavement because they got it wrong and too fast and then swinging right out again to the left before going round the corner. We are not talking about people keeping to the middle line.
  9. P13 on 1 way system Chadwick Road you don't need to weave to get up Chadwick Road. You do need to weave if you are on the right hand side and then cross left for Lydenhurst. Easy to understand if you go and look at the road
  10. Coming round the corner and weaving from side to side, then sitting in the right hand lane when they want to use the left hand lane down Lyndhurst at the right turn and cycling 2 a breast and refusing to move. The system is very easy to use if common sense is applied. Most use common sense but I suspect those that don't complain.
  11. I have also lost count of the number of times that cyclists seem to do what they want coming round from Bellenden into the one way system whilst waiting at the P13 bus stop. It is not alway cars that are problem. Perhaps people don't want to hear this as it might prick the bubble.
  12. I also agree with mikeb. There is nothing wrong with the one way system. There have never been any accidents on this system since it was implemented. I too cycle and have never been threatened. Common sense is all that is required.
  13. Walked pass today not a workman in sight. Looks like more cones have been placed, that's it for today I guess. Out of interest is it Conway?
  14. From walking past yesterday the work seems to be going at the top of Choumert Road not Bellenden Road. Why did they have to put lights on Bellenden? no need traffic should just just flow through as usual. Parking suspensions would not be needed on any of the roads. Seems they are making life difficult on these roads, any thing to do with the Bellenden Road consultation? to manufacture problems to push what they want.
  15. It is the same with most road consultation schemes. In most cases very poor advertising and only those with an agenda put their views forward. If 10 people respond, 6 for and 4 against it is recorded as a majority 60% in favour if it matches the Councils requirement. The latest one on the same lines is the Bellenden Road system. All previously agreed by residents then Southwark decide to change the agreed plans and advertised very yet again so very few people knew it was on. The Council should listen to residents and act on their advice.
  16. Why is it that there always has to be a crowd funding appeal when Southwark should actually listen to residents concerns? Who does Southwark work for, themselves or residents? This should not be necessary. As an after thought what has happened to the mass crowd funding for the Peckham High Line. Seems to have died a death ofter the money was raised.
  17. Response from Cllr Barber on his own tread re this. "Hi ed_pete, No I wasn't aware of the meeting - as not in East Dulwich understandably I wouldn't be told by council officers. And I wont be back in the area due to day time work commitments until late this evening." I understand that Cllr Barber, but to ease your pain I have emailed my local lane ward Cllr many times on this since the start and have never ever received any acknowledgement or response. If the local Cllr cannot be bothered there is no reason for you feel bad, Apart from inserting new crossings at all the junctions nothing more needed to be done. As the money came from a grant for this scheme it looks like they have to spend it or lose it or at worst have to pay it back if things are not fully implemented. Agree with all that Rendell Harris said. Normally I dont. Sumed it up fully.

  20. Whilst the new influx of residents are concerned about "their" parking no mention has been made re the cost to be incurred by children of older residents who come to visit and will have to use an expensive resident parking voucher. I have three children and when they turn up or pop in on the same day it will be silly expensive. If this happens more than once in a week it will mount up. Also if one or the other pop in to check it costs money. Why? Resident parking should be a CPZ but free for Council Tax paying residents. It wont happen because they need the money.
