  1. I live on Bawdale Road and did not hear a thing, if i did i would have gatecrashed !
  2. Does anyone know what happened to the guy who worked in Blue Mountain (tall with dark hair) ? He was great
  3. Maybe i just had a bad day yesterday as most shops are friendly and i am not going to name the places that are not a joy to shop in as that would not be fair. We all know which ones they are !!!
  4. Don't get me wrong, i love living in East Dulwich and maybe we are spoilt by the good service in many of the shops to then criticise the bad. Maybe i expect too much .. This is London and i forget sometimes.
  5. Thanks, i read that thread but it does not seem that many places have taken the comments on board. What bookstore ?
  6. I would not say that the staff in East Dulwich shops are rude however, for a small area i would expect them to make more effort and get to know their customer.
  7. I can't believe anywhere in East Dulwich would be silly enough to do that. East Dulwich is full of mothers and babies during the day and surely most places would be empty without them. I know it has been said many times but East Dulwich is a nappy valley. If establishments don't want mothers and babies maybe they should put a sign up so we know where we are not wanted.
  8. His name is Danny and he always had time for a hello and a smile. I wish more people were like that in their job - inculding myself. !!
  9. I cycle from Lordship Lane (nr William Rose butcher) to Canary Wharf and I reckon it's about 7.5 miles only. Go down to the Rye, over one tree hill and then down past Honor Oak. Left at the bottom, pass Ladywell and turn left (Algernon Rd) then right and through to Lewisham DLR. Left at the big roundabout, pass Deptford Bridge and you're quickly into Greenwich. The lifts usually work but if not the stairs are better for you anyway. It gets much busier in summer when all the fair weather friends come out. Buy the kit, get slick tyres (and keep them well inflated) and you'll soon enjoy it. There are no dual carriageways, few buses and not too many white vans that way! I started after 7/7 and have never looked back!
  10. I meant a hypothetical car park; what we really need is resident parking.
  11. It has to be the guys in Cheers, they are always friendly and happy whenever you go in there.
  12. Is a car park so that i can park in my own road once in a while.
