  1. Me - supposed to be going to my Dad's, but instead my Mum is coming to mine. Us - ordering an Indian takeaway on Xmas eve and then having it for Xmas lunch on Crimbo day. Who said Christmas should be conventional?
  2. *exhalesloudly* I find this so tiresome. Scousers hate United and vice-versa. A question to all United supporters. If anyone else had won that trophy, would you hold it in such esteem? Well done, you won it. Champions of England - 17 times Champions of Europe - 3 times Champions of the World - Who really gives a toss? Good luck in the league. We all fucked up this weekend. I'm sure you'll go on and win it now.
  3. Gary Mac has been sacked then. No patience these days.
  4. I did wonder about that. Would be f****** typical (6)
  5. I would hope that by the end of February his hamstring will well and truly sorted. Still, we beat United and Chelsea without him this season. Would be a fantastic tie if Spurs did meet Villa in the next round.
  6. Wonder if Ronaldo will be in Madrid then. Not that he can play as he'll be cup tied.
  7. > I however support Liverpool. Woo!! Another one. Maybe someone else to travel with from Dulwich!
  8. Is for it not to be Christmas.
  9. Oh that's a shame. Yep. Having a bit of a silly season as I usually ski, but this winter I can't due to knee surgery. Have decided to get in debt going to every match possible rather than spending it in the mountains. So far so good (tu)
  10. My Mum's family are scousers - just did what my cousin Jon did and remember his pictures of Rush on his bedroom walls. His brother Paul is an Evertonian, so I guess that as red was my favourite colour I was quite lucky there. Sharon - did you get West Ham on your fancard? It's one of the pre-req' games for the derby.
  11. Skips?
  12. Have been thinking about the struggling to get tickets comments from the previous page. If you think that getting tickets to a premiership match for any of the big 4 is particularly easy then you must be living in la la land. However, t annoys me when people use that as a reason for not going. If you want them badly enough you can get them and I mean at cost value from the club. Irrespective of finances or significant others (which is a choice people make), the more you go, or the more you associate yourself with the club the more people you meet who can sort you for tickets. Sorry if that offends or grates on anyone.
  13. Thanks Keef, I wasn't trying to be all high and mighty (so cheers for that too MP :-S). It was by no means aimed as a nasty dig or pop at anyone and as I'm sure you'll be aware there is always plenty of banter between United and Liverpool fans. The first question that is usually asked is "have you even ever been to Anfield/OT?" delete as apt'. What's the stat'? __% of Man United supporters have never even been to Manchester......
  14. Nice one Ladygooner - I may see you there. Sandperson - have you ever been?
  15. Nice to see you're still so passionate about United, Sandperson. When were you last at Old Trafford? ;-) Anyhoo, back to the original reason I decided to post in this thread. Great that Mickey Owen is back in form - wonder if he'll still be at St James' park after the transfer window closes.
  16. Tangy Toms.
  17. Nope - all happened in the first half, so the second half was VERY frustrating. I have sent an offer of my services to massage Torres' thighs for four hours for every day. It will be a hard task, but hopefully it will get him on the road to recovery a lot quicker and the opportunity to equal his goal scoring record from last season. Your gaff next MissG - should be an interesting one. You going, your thoughts?
  18. Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks!! Must need my head read. Just got back from Liverpool and all that for a solitary point! (6)
  19. Can't believe I missed a Karaoke night. :'(
  20. Oooh - may well head to the dog on Xmas day. See you all there.
  21. You're all mean. Poor cat.
  22. Bored
  23. You should try resolve extra.
  24. Gerrard didn't have that problem in the summer, which is why he didn't have it done then. Clubs pay a players wages, so why shouldn't they decide when a player has something fixed? The FA make a lot of money out of the International team and it is often at the expense of the players' employers, be it Liverpool, United or whoever.
  25. Funny how you've been fairly quiet so far this season - I can't imagine why. I didn't mention Chelsea as Terry got the same treatment as Gerrard. Funnily enough he's been ruled as fit to play. Gerrard had surgery for his ailment and it's a problem that LFC medics and now England specialists have confirmed. Stop taking everything as a personal dig at United. Ferguson does this all the time, and the one time Rafa refuses a player he's checked.
