  1. Hehe, I know at least two very gorgeous and seemingly single men in ED, and I'm not telling you where or who they are!!! Hehe
  2. Sandperson Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You are a Midlander Lizzy, be proud! Oooh yes -- I come from the place where, if on a map, you put one finger on the Severn Estuary, one finger on the wash, and move them inland at the same speed, they will eventually fall right on my home town (where the aliens landed, almost!)
  3. Can you tell I'm a Northern lass then?! *well, Northampton, does that still qualify??* Stuck with what I had at home last night, but will try the shop stuff I had Chips and Curry Sauce from a Chinese takeaway on Northcross road (top end, after crossing over Crystal Palace Rd) -- they were pretty delicious, although the chips were a bit skinny -- oops, my home isn't a Chinese takeaway off the Northcross rd ...this was a couple of weeks back!!

  5. ...It has come to it again oh yes, I am living like a proper student once more SO... where is the best place to get chips with curry sauce in the 'hood?
  6. Hey no worries HonaloochieB -- it was a nice walk and I ended up using my card because my salary had gone in already. It's a shame cheques are being phased out, although if you can manage to (which I find difficult these days) it's better to keep away from salary funds until they have actually gone in to account :) JSW -- if you throw in some chocolate I'll give you my cow ;p Apparently, on a cheery note, those in the know on R4 this morn reckon we're not going to get back to 2008 living standards until 2013 -- grrreeeaatttt.
  7. Just to update -- Barry Rd offy doesn't accept cheques (I got the 'you are a scummy student' look (I think) -- so I went down the road and ended up using my debit card anyway -- bring back cheques I say -- always good for the last week of the month
  8. Urgh, I do like Peroni but not at 11am in the morning -- and I can pass on Stella.
  9. Ah, fantastic -- do they do the usual produce, good bread, pasta, milk -- good quality food?
  10. ...I know it's as old fashioned as taking a cow to exchange for a loaf of bread, but does anybody know if Somerfield or a similar shop in Dulwich take a cheque? Times are hard and I need groceries but I don't get paid till tomorrow! Thus, the trusty blankety blank springs to mind.... Thanks, TL
  11. ...was cycling to work this morning, and passed a very important looking motorcade along Lordship Lane, anyone know about it?
  12. Jim Dale, of Carry On fame His brother is married to the blonde Philadelphia woman from the 90s -- also lives near my old town
  13. Hey, great day yesterday AF -- had a lovely time cycling to Hyde Park, then to Regent's Park and along the canal to Islington. Anybody want to join us next week?? Something similar? Fiskaroo knows some good back street routes to cut out traffic dodging -- and I really enjoyed seeing parts of London I've never seen before....
  14. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen :) 12/11/75
  15. ..Portishead (Dummy, Portishead) ..The Cure's Greatest Hits ..Sigur Ros ..Stevie Wonder's Greatest Hits Cracking!
  16. Hi Guys -- Sorry to hear about your foot Mrs -- hope the gig was mostly fun though :) Yes, I'd be up for a shorter ride again this weekend -- you have my number so please do get in touch if you have anywhere planned. I'm a bit rubbish with routes as I don't know the area that well -- I end up just cycling to Greenwich and shopping for shoes! Fergus is likely up for it too, and another of our friends Patrick said he'd be keen. Just give me a shout on Sat and I'll let the others know :) S
  17. Fair point HB -- I like your no nonsense reasoning -- you are right, I never used to be such a Cliff Richard
  18. ...I know, I should be braver -- which one were you? There were a few good looking chaps in there I must say ;)
  19. Oooh, can I admit, I popped in with some friends this eve, had a look around while I was chatting with them, think I saw some people who looked like they'd frequent this place hehe, but chickened out and went home after we'd finished our drinks boo ... it was spontaneous actually that we ended up in there -- any of you guys sat outside? And was the blonde girl with the hat who looked like she was carrying lots of shots for people Georgia?? I was wearing a dress and a yellow top -- what a chicken I am boo :)
  20. Hey all, I'm thinking of popping along this evening -- but how will I know who you are? I've never been to one before and haven't met any of you ... so I don't know what you look like!! TL
  21. ...Eek, can I say, I'm a childless 'early' 30-something, and I quite living among young families in ED -- they always look quite happy and content. I'm doing a phd at King's and it makes me feel pretty settled -- however, it's good to have younger urbanites to keep the place young and trendy ;p *I count myself in that band of course*
