We had our floors sanded and stained recently, and I can recommend Tom @ http://www.woodfloorers.com/ He?s knowledgable, reliable, skilled and friendly. He filled the gaps with rubber bearing that doesn?t fall out like other fillings. He uses a stain treatment (40 colour options) that goes on well in one coat. His machine has a dust extractor so mess is less. This meant a quicker (and cheaper) job than our other quotes. He fits wooden floors like parquet too. Tom?s on 07815 807872

We'd like an L-shaped loft extension. Considering Loft Life, Classic and Outlook Lofts at the mo. If you have used them and def would/would not recommend them, or indeed another architect/builder combination, we'd love to hear why. It appears that dropping our ceilings is necessary. Richard painted my kitchen recently. He was chatty and friendly, worked hard and smart. He achieved a lovely finish and was knowledgeable and happy to inform me in decision-making. He wasn't quite the cheapest quote but still reasonably priced - would recommend him.
