  1. I hope not. I phoned on Thursday for an appointment with Mr Daly and she's booked me in for next Tuesday.
  2. Can't believe you were asked to move to the bar djw! I would have refused, particularly as you had booked a table. That's the sort of service that puts me off going there.
  3. Glad we're not the only ones! Boy'f and I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time they were rude but last weekend was the final straw when we asked for one take-out ice cream (at 4.40pm when they close at 5pm) only to be barked at that they were closing. I adore their pistachio ice cream but now refuse to go there as a result of their darn rudeness.
  4. Hi timtim. My friend and I went to Goa about 5 years ago and stayed in Calangute. I totally agree with mockney piers, the food was fantastic. We too had truely great Italian food in a restaurant where the tables were dotted around a garden with fairy lights - think enchanted garden. Also had great French food (a chocolate fondant to die for) and some wonderful fresh fish. I'm a bit of a foodie and in all my travels I am still amazed by some of the great food we had in Goa (I mean apart from excellent Indian and Goan dishes, other world cusines too). I would definitely head down to Palolem (Paradise Beach) and stay for a few nights in the huts on stilts; the beach side cafes are great there too. Happy holidays!
  5. I have no problem with the pharmacy dispensing clean works and providing a place for users to return their used works in a responsible manner; what I do have a problem with is the extended hours. I used to work at a needle exchange in South London and our opening hours were 9.30am-5pm and no-one using the service thought this a problem nor did they request us to stay open later (although granted, there weren't many shows before lunchtime).
  6. Bit of a shame to only offer single tickets; two pairs of tickets would maybe have been more appealing?
  7. 40 bus to London Bridge, change and get either the 48 or 149 from the same stop to the end of Old St.
  8. I've been a viewer of this forum until now when I've felt the need to put finger to keypad and type a reply. This is a fantastic idea and I'd love to come to the meeting on the 5th June. Please count me in (and my equally keen pal Kirstie).
