Can anyone recommend a good sports bra that's comfortable enough to wear if you're still breastfeeding? I'm wearing two bras to exercise in at the moment! It does keep 'em strapped down, but I'm sure it's not that good in the long run. I usually go to The Fitting Studio, but they do tend to fit quite tightly and I'm only ten weeks in, so looking for comfort.

warning-strange man hanging around in childrens playground.

Rumours of Le Moulin's demise are not true. I had the pork in calvados sauce there tonight and it was delicious. It's open Tues-Sat, plus Sunday lunch. -
Anyone go to Oak Tree nursery on Tell Grove? I'd be interested in your opinions. And as it's open in the school holidays, do you have to pay outside term time? Or is it still covered by the grant for three year olds? Thanks

Prams for travelling / Micralite Superlite?
verds replied to amyw's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I have a Superlite and love it. It's light, gorgeous and the pumped up tyres mean it's good over bumps. I've recently been using a Maclaren Quest, which is even smaller and much easier to fold and carry, but a bit rattly in comparison. You're welcome to test drive the Superlite if that helps. -
Thanks. I'd forgotten how long it takes to get a good few ounces. Or maybe it just feels like it's taking longer with a toddler 'helping'!

I can't find the answer to this on tinternet, so I'll ask the wise forum... If I've pumped a couple of ounces yesterday, can I add to that bottle directly from the pump today? Or do different day's milk have to be kept separate?

I want to see The Muppets - anyone know of a cinema showing that's suitable/tolerant for a toddler and newborn? Thanks!

Anyone know of somewhere local that sells Lansinoh manual breast pumps? Sainsbury's used to do them, but don't any more. Thanks!

I think Tesco are better value than Sainsbury's. When the Tesco driver did my Christmas delivery, he saw how pregnant I was and carried everything up to the first floor flat. And then insisted on putting it all on the worktops so I didn't have to bend down. The eggs came bubble wrapped, too! I was amazed at the service

Thanks for all the helpful replies, and here's hoping for a ticket to Carl's booth!

Hello wise forum types, Anyone been for a blood test lately? I was wondering when the quietest time would be? Thanks

We have relied on climbing on dad and watching Peppa Pig as entertainment over the holiday, but are hoping to bust loose on Tues. Anyone know what's on? At 38 weeks pregnant, soft play is a bit tricky but I hear rumours of a playgroup at The Plough. Anyone been? Thanks!

I'm after a visit to the big man. I hear he's in a gingerbread house in Lewisham, and was thinking of going. Anybody been? Or seen him anywhere near enough for a toddler and 8-months-pregnant mum to get to? Thanks!

Yes indeed it is, in a Christmas party style. Bring a festive snack contribution, and there'll also be a Secret Santa, so if you could bring a pound prezzy to swap you can join in the fun.

Thanks - that's very helpful. In my day, we got toilets made of cardboard and thought ourselves lucky!

Having never had any interest in doll's houses until now, I need help... I bought a lovely Asda house for my little girl: this one Now the furniture is sold out, so I'm looking for something to furnish it with. But it doesn't say what scale the house is. Does this vary? I've done quite a lot of googling and found 1/12 and 1/24 and now I'm confused. Any experts who can advise? Thanks in advance for any help with my piffling problem, which seems a little more confusing than it is due to late pregnancy!

In an ideal world, everyone should have the choice to give birth how they want. Midwives tried to pressure me into a homebirth, which was disgraceful. I had considered it as an option, but had decided against it and told the midwife. The next day, I went into labour and when a different midwife arrived she told me I'd be missing out on a beautiful experience by going to hospital. I was fully dilated at that point. We spent the next 7 hours with me asking to go to hospital, and her leaving me to struggle on pushing at home. Eventually, I was taken to Kings by ambulance and fortunately had the baby safely. I'm pregnant again, and this time round I'm with Kings midwives and have written down the fact that I want to have my baby in hospital. Obviously I'm terrified after my last experience. Women shouldn't feel pressured either way. We're the ones who have to go through labour!

Back to work - please tell me it'll be ok
verds replied to Fidgetsmum's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Good on you - you'll love it once you get used to it! You'll be tired for the first couple of weeks, but it gets better. The hardest thing is settling them in with childcare, but it sounds like you don't need to worry about that. It's amazing how little you think about them once you get busy. I hope that doesn't sound bad! Also, if you're going into a new job, like I did, you probably won't talk about children as much with your new colleagues, so that'll help you miss them a bit less. Also, I found that nothing at work scared me any more after I'd had a baby. So even if you have a big presentation or meeting it's not childbirth, so there's no need to worry! Er, is that just me? One shallow thing: Don't buy loads of new work clothes until you see what everyone there is wearing. Good luck - and treat yourself on payday! -
Anyone got a good, child-friendly cleaner?
verds replied to verds's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks - she sounds ideal. Hi Damzel! *waves from round the corner* thanks. Will PM you if I don't find anyone. -
Can anyone recommend a good cleaner who's flexible and understanding when it comes to chaos and sleeping babies/toddlers? I'm looking for someone 2 hours a week in the morning in ED. I've looked elsewhere on the forum, but there seem to be so many false recommendations!
