  1. Well: I attended the DHFC v Romford Cup Tie tonight (we won!!!), and an annoucement was made to the effect that, following the game this coming Saturday (at approximately 17.45) there will be a "Supporters' Forum" for anyone who wishes to attend for the purposes of asking questions/making observations etc. vis a vis the proposed building project. See you all there then!
  2. I'm merely an honorary sis (thank heavens for small mercies)!:)) Anyway, you coming or what?
  3. That's nice. Most of us are capable of helping each other out - on a daily basis if we choose to. Interesting how disasters - like the flooding - tend to bring the best out in people. An inspiring post, MM.
  4. Well, that wasn't too long. Had just enough time to finish my ironing! Thanks Admin.
  5. One of Daizie's "Top Tips"?
  6. *gawd* :))
  7. meh... I knew it was there...was hoping Master Quids might pop by... Re. the bikes - aren't you worried the trespassers might return? Have you seen these? This one holds up to 3 bikes.
  8. You keep a ladder in your garden? A very, very, long ladder? And you are worried about your bikes?
  9. Agreed. But there are undesirables; and then there is karter...
  10. No, I'll be the one dressed in black (complete with shades) asking to see your ID and ultimately ensuring that intoxicated undesirables - such as you - are refused entry. This is ED - after all!
  11. Crikey karter, unless I knew precisely the source of the mattress, I wouldn't buy a 2nd hand one (for an adult - never mind a new born). A friend of mine bought one and ended up having to throw away her bed frame and sofas because of bed bugs which apparently came from the mattress. Ewwwwwwww...I thought bed bugs were fictional until then. If you can't afford a new one (I'll chip in as my prezzie to you and H). xx
  12. "The forum's having some maintenance work done on it tonight. It will be down from 9:00pm for about an hour." Oooooh, will that mean a speedier forum? Right. I'm going to get in as much as I can before 9.00pm. If I recall correctly, "about an hour" can prove a very long time to a forum addict. Hope it all goes smoothly, and that you don't have to resort to praying ;-).
  13. Their loss... We are less discerning. Do continue.
  14. I know! I wrote a 9 page letter (or was it 11?) and attended all the meetings. It was exhausting!
  15. You don't, by any chance, write those Christmas cracker jokes for a living?:))
  16. And we have our own football club. *HAMM-LE-ETTS* Welcome indeed to ED, Nomis&Nerual!
  17. But (and I may be mistaken as it's just a vague memory) wasn't there a ruling that no building could take place on the playing fields (something to do with being Metropolitan Land - or something)? If I recall correctly, "red" Ken had something to do with this. Yes? No? It's all very faint...
  18. It's called being organised citizenED. I am the same: have stuff in my diary as far ahead as December:-S
  19. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > HAL - I'll take it to PM, as nobody else is > interested!! I was interested!!!!!!
  20. > Or if that's too far > removed from everyday life - who do you think is > responsible for looking after your pension fund? All I know is that, despite having paid into various pension schemes all my working life, I have very little to show for it. As things stand at present, I may as well have kept the dosh under the mattress!

Nice to see that Chair has a sense of humour:)).
  22. > ...I expect he'll wait for a '1000'. Hmmmmph....you'll probably have that one too...you sly puss...
