  1. This looks great! Really looking forward to it....Thanks for bringing this to ED Sue!
  2. Really don't lose hope! We couldn't believe our cat appeared (via posters/door to door flyers) 5 weeks after going missing (and this after never leaving our garden for more than 30 minutes previously).
  3. Mattham, Very much with you on the crazy driving of the postal vans on Pellatt. Now how about the fact that they also often drive up to the sorting station at 4:30 AM, open both doors of the massive truck, put the radio on at full blast, and shout back and forth to each other (with liberal use of expletives) on the sidewalk? Haven't heard this for a couple of weeks, mind, but it has woken us up countless times in the last year! Alieh
  4. I would be happy to get involved with this. One thing we learned in our "missing cat" episode is that there are a lot of people who leave food out for neighbourhood cats. This could be part of the reason why so many E.D. cats go missing for long periods of time -- they have no reason to find their way back home to be fed!
  5. Thanks Pickle. We had great luck putting up posters and most importantly putting flyers through loads of doors, even further away than you think your cat would go (ours ended up nearly 5 streets away from ours). We did another round of flyers through doors near where there was a sighting last week, and even 5 weeks after he went missing that is what led us to finding him - thanks to calls from kind neighbours! Keep up hope!
  6. I am happy -- and surprised! -- to report that 5 weeks after going missing Lots has been found! Thank you so much to everyone who watched out for him and helped us find him. He ended up in a back garden around Landells and Gooderich, and looks very well cared for so maybe has been living with a surrogate family. Thanks again for all the help from people on this Forum, and hoping that all the other missing cats find their way home too. Alieh
  7. Thanks again for everyone's comments and support - unfortunately Lots is still missing and his brother Wool is very sad. Hopefully he will find his way home soon.
  8. Hi there, We have lost a cat - he went missing last Wednesday. He is a ginger tabby - we have a posting on the forum right now with his photo. If the tabby is ginger please call Ed at 07950 517 200. Many thanks, Ed and Al
  9. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We are very sad that he is still missing. But you never know...maybe he will still turn up.
  10. Thanks lozzyloz. Unfortunately still no sign of him. If anyone in the Pellatt/Silvester/Rodwell/Crystal Palace Road area could still check their gardens we would be grateful. My husband's mobile is 07950517200. Two very distraught cat owners!
  11. Hi everyone, Our ginger cat seems to have disappeared after escaping out the front door on Pellatt, at the post office end. Photo attached. He has a dodgy back leg so we're worried he might be hurt or trapped somewhere. If anyone in the immediate area could check their gardens/garages/sheds and let us know of any sightings, we would be very grateful! Alieh
  12. Glad to hear that at least a few people have noticed a change too. It's not enough noise to change your life, but just interesting that it seems to have come out of nowhere. Thanks for the aviation insights, BarryRoad! If you come up with any evidence about what has changed -- apart from weather and Foxtons-related espionage -- I would be interested to hear more!
  13. Is it just me or is there suddenly a huge increase in the air traffic noise in East Dulwich? I moved over a year ago, but have only noticed this in the last couple of months. Either I have been living under a rock for 12 months or something has changed in the flight paths!? Anyone else notice the same?
  14. Influx of Canadians to East Dulwich! We moved from Toronto in August ourselves. In the end we found our rental through PropertyIn.com (office on the Lordship Lane), but also checked www.findaproperty.com and www.propertyfinder.co.uk frequently before moving. You're welcome to PM me too if you have any expat-Canadian questions! Alie
