  1. My wife used to follow the cycling route through Walworth for her commute. A few years ago she was stopped by hooded youths and they mugged her bike including attached bag with belongings phone etc. This happened on Portland Street at about 7pm. The police drove around with her and did a drive by identification but they did not get them.

It will take at least 2 double deckers to replace one bendy, so that is even longer !! and blocking junctions is entirely the drivers fault. The catching fire thing has only been true in London, although these buses are used around the world. Around 4 years ago I have witnessed a slightly mad rasta man lighting a series of matches and throwing them around inside the nr 436 bendy bus. I wonder if it was him to set fire to all those buses..

  4. oh yes sorry, I missed that post in the middle that you have already bought an ikea one, just wanted to advice against spending a lot for those other chairs. Our baby is less than 6m and has never tried the tripp trapp ,but I am sure she will take some time to get used to any chair. we will still go for the tripp trapp.
  5. snowboarder ! I had a look at your kiddiecare links...(!!!!) I haven't bought it yet, but good simple design like the tripp trapp will surely outlast those horrible zumas and other badly designed overpriced chairs. Don't keep making the same mistakes, as you said you made many stupid purchases in the last 5 months.
  6. I cannot understand why so many people don't like the bendy buses. without them we will wait longer and us taxpayers will have to pay for more drivers. As a cyclist, car driver and frequent bus passenger I must say that all the dangerous bus situations I have seen, have been down to bad driving, rather than the bendy bus. double deckers are just as bad and even more smelly. Where I come from in europe we have had bendy buses since the 1970s and before that buses with a trailer, nobody ever complained that they would be more dangerous than shorter buses. The drivers just need to be trained and get used to them. and down there we have narrow roads too.
  7. I am not sure if this has already been discussed on this forum. I heard that there could be problems with the brakes on the bugaboo bee. They could suddenly fail and this could obviously be dangerous. The newest bee's have this problems fixed already but older ones can get special brackets for free from bugaboo. there is also a link to the photo of the brackets. I have ordered mine yesterday. http://www.bugaboo.com/extra/service/bee_brake/index.php?lang=en_UK
  8. sorry, does my english sounds bad ? I am indeed italian
  9. you have a point, I do not know how much they earn and at what time they finish work
  10. Judy you should be happy that someone is willing to do the bin job for probably a low pay. In some European towns the latest development is that you have to move your own bin to the nearest collection point, which could be about 100m away. Or imagine in Naples where the bin men decided to go on a 6 months strike.
  11. Firezza is absolutely the best pizza.....we have been very happy with them, except last time they delivered cooked ham instead of parma ham, it did put us off ordering again for a week, but then they are still the best
  12. Ok I will try to do it without napisan, but you never know which chemicals the nappy services are using.
  13. to wash the nappies by yourself is not as bad as it sounds. rub stains with a basic soap bar (13p for 3 at sainsburys), then soak the nappies in napisan until you have a machine full. Then wash at 40 degrees and they come out as new. I found the whole thing much easier than expected, but must admit we still use disposable ones at night and when we are out and about. I know this does not answer your question but try it out.
