  1. give Sonia at perfect touch a call www.perfecttouchcleaningltd.co.uk her team gave our house a complete top to toe after we'd finished extensive building work and it was so good that I now have my regular weekly cleaning done by one of her team. lovely people to deal with too
  2. Just revamping this thread - i'd also like to take my 20 month old to baby booters soon. can anyone tell me if she needs to wear/bring anything specific? is the confirmed time 11? and whereabouts do you meet? thanks!
  3. I keep noticing a small paddock on the left side of the train tracks on the vic-peckham rye train somewhere between Brixton and Denmark Hill - not massively helpful as I don't know the exact location, name etc. but if you get that train in the evenings and peer out you'll notice as its v well lit and right by the tracks...
  4. just to update the thread (i'm missus fry :)) we have decided to book in here http://www.adrianhoteles.com/en/roca-nivaria/ a child friendly hotel in Tenerife, mainly because the flight is only 4.5 hours and because they accept younger children in the kids club - a lot of places we looked at would not accept under 4s... jollymummy, that place looks really perfect though, will definitely take a look for our next trip! thanks for all the tip offs, v helpful
  5. I think Ivydale were due to expand their kids activities at the one o clock club this year... does anyone know any details? searched around online but couldn't find anything...
  6. happy birthday and yes thanks for all the tip offs for toddler activities!
  7. cannot believe how bloody long its taking them to do those steps at Denmark hill! anyone know an update on step free access at Peckham rye? Only me - this is a great tip-off, do the ED trains always arrive at the same platform as the departing ginger line then?
  8. Re: docklands museum, I'm a bit confused by their website... For a normal Sunday visit do you need to book for the toddler activity bit (think its called mud larks)?
  9. Sort of related - does anyone know when the step free access will finally be ready at DH?
  10. i am also doing this trip on tuesday (6.50 flight so i want to be there at 5.50) - i'm lucky in that i can cab it and expense... do you think leaving at 5am is sufficient time to get from ED to T1?
  11. Thank you.... I realised after I posted that its half term so will give it a miss this week, but try next. Thanks Mathilda
  12. Can't get through on their phone line at all, was thinking of taking mini p to the 11am session but do you need to book in advance or get there mega early?
  13. Thansk for all the tips, ill check them out :)
  14. Hi all - can someone tell me the age range they accept at magic moments?
  15. Hi guys - what age can you start them at amott road preschool? any ideas on waiting list?
  16. I know this is a old thread but I've searched for th info elsewhere and come up a blank..... What age do gg nursery accept children from?
  17. Any advice where to get them (local or online)? Tried mothercare.com but they only start at size 6 (she is a 4.5 but i want them to last all winter so i imagine i'd buy a size 5). Tried John Barrett, but they also only start at 6. A friend went to Clarks on Rye Lane and said they don't have anything in... any other suggestions? By winter boot I mean a weatherproof (or as near as possible) calf/knee boot that is hopefully snug and warm too...
  18. haven't ever been with children, but we went to SL about five years ago and absolutely loved it tho it was on a nice kuoni trip and invovled lots of bumpy jeepm travel, not so good for kids! BUT what i wanted to say that we did go to the pinnawela (sp?) elephant orphanage and i loved it there and am sure your children would do too - no animal cruelty that i could see and a real once in a lifetime experience getting so close to the animals..
  19. thanks for all the comments, i'll pass them onto my dad and see how it goes next time! thanks again
  20. My dad makes this trip by car to visit us and always has a nightmare (60-90 min drive) no matter which way he goes, so i thought i'd ask the knowledgeable folk on here (plus we don't have a car so wouldn't have a clie myself!)... any ideas?
  21. hi all - my other half is currently the full time carer of our 16 month old daughter - i was wondering if anything got off the ground with this and/or when the SE London Dad's weekly meets are? Thanks!
  22. Not going to start a big rant, but apology not accepted. Like others on this thread I gave up my ?30 with the assurance that "of course in a year's time your daughter will have a place". Of course now there is no space for her - I can get over being miffed about you just taking mine (and everyone else's) ?30 with zero return, but the lack of communication is really too much to take and incredibly rude. Like others on here and other friends of mine, it leaves a very sour taste in my mouth and is doing no end of bad to your business. I don't want a reply I'd just urge you to fix this problem before it makes a serious dent in your business
  23. Lol, it does actually All sound a bit Harry potter actually! Ended up going from ed to Tulse hill, then from there to st pancras - we went through black friars so I tried to look out for the platforms, but I could only see 1 2 and 4 signposted... Curiouser and curiouser... Anyways next time I have more time and am not laden down its baby and her paraphernalia will work out. Thanks for your help though :)
