"So if it's OK for cyclists to cautiously go over red lights on pedestrian crossings when nobody is about... it's OK for me to do the same in my car, yes?" Apparently so, yes. From the Sydenham hill speed limit thread, by you. "20mph is a ridiculous limit for a wide road like Sydenham Hill - not only unnecessarily low, but will inevitably result in overtaking (and therefore excessive speeding). I fully intend to continue to drive 30ish along it and slow down for any cameras. Thanks for the update".

This quote from a masked protester sums it up nicely (from the BBC). "it would've been a revolution, but I think the weather's put everyone off, to be honest." -
May it rain Pianos on the twat.

"I point out that I?m not the only one propping up the system. What about Brand?s chauffeur-driven Merc outside? He replies that his chauffeur, Mick, is a really great guy and a friend ? which is nice but not the point." From the article. I do agree though that the points he highlights are important but like DaveR, I believe he is an idiot who spouts forth to keep himself in the public eye. That's narcissism.

He pays for the car, read the article.

I suppose RD and AM if you like your football emotionless, pragmatic, lifeless, then BFS is your man. I went pretty much every week in his first season, we got promoted and then had to stop going after around a third of the following year. The reason? It was shit, i don't watch NFL but that's what it felt like, every player was huge, Nolan kicking lumps out of everybody, dreadful. There were high points, beating Chelsea, Spurs but the lows and the quality of the offering took any real joy from watching. It was the first time in 23 years that i didn't go. Football to me is more than just occupying a slot in the top tier, its about entertainment, passion and to some extent comedy. I suppose it's easy to look down from upon your sofa as a United fan, so much success, money and the aforementioned good points of football and judge but it didn't happen to your club did it? BFS is anti-football, he may have got us a slot in the premier league but he killed everything I loved about West Ham, to the extent I gave up.
