Broad brushstroke and so completely wrong. a bit like calling a bloke from Slough a Cockney.
  2. Wot Titch said. I'm absolutely no fan of Ferguson as a person. Petulant, childish, a bully. I've been the first to knock him but his record is extraordinary and that includes Europe. Liverpool will always have the bonkers achievements of Bob Paisley, Fagan and Benitez( a man I've warmed to hugely of late) but FFS put aside your blinkered views and recognise the facts. Ferguson reached 4 finals in 20 years, winning two. It's testament to his drive and stubborness that he refused to give in, that is a mark of greatness as well. Ask King Kenny, he'd be the first to agree Oh and Atila x2/ Emerson/ Parkdrive, Pot, Kettle, what?
  3. Ian Paisley at No.1 Fantastic, great, smashing, super. Alex ferguson at 2, yes 2 out of ALL the European managers, poor. Really?

Won it twice, runner up twice. Second in the all time list to Paisley and in a different and far longer competition.
  5. > > And there really is no excuse to wear lycra or > shave your legs if you're a bloke. Would you wear wellingtons to play football?
  6. "Ooh look a Boris bike, I'm going to jump on that as the tubes buggered." "Fill this form in, we'll do some background checks and you'll be free to go in around 40 mins." Not really the idea of cheap, available transport is it?
  7. that'd be the end of Boris Bikes then.
  8. For no balance whatsoever and mindful of where this thread is going, I conducted my own statistical analysis during my 11 mile commute (by bike) to work and I saw; 11 cyclists ignore redlights (6 at pedestrian crossings, with no peds on them and 5 going across traffic junctions, idiots) 4 cyclists who really need to take some basic training as they were a danger to themselves and others. 8 drivers texting countless drivers on the phone 4 drivers checking emails 14 jumping lights at Vauxhall bridge And every driver applying brakes before the speed camera on the Embankment next to VB. I personally lost count of Pedestrians walking out into the road either texting, lost in music or in one case, applying make up. So out of that lot who's the bad guy? Lets make sure everyone is insured and taxed, including pedestrians shall we? Or we could all put our own houses in order especially in London as lets face it, unless you work from home, cycling is the most effective and reliable commute available to all and its only going to increase.

  10. I swapped my six pack for one of them at the age of 24! SJ, yes i know, just trying to head of the incoming fire. I too drank nothing but the stuff, I spent more time at the urinal than at the bar.
  11. SJ, I'm not dissing working class brews because that was absolutely not what they were. Brewed by accountant led companies to maximise profit and reach through reduced production times and financial muscle. it was upper class peeps telling working class peeps what was good for them and it was shite. On another note there is a place in Blackheath 0 degrees, 3.60 a pint for booze made on premises. I can't comment on whether its any good but will attempt a field study soon.
  12. Not sure if it's "craft" but I'm a big lummoxing drunken fan of Meantime Pale Ale. I'm really pleased to see the resurgence of decent beer as I remember the crap that was served up in pubs in the late 70's, early 80's. Worthington E, Double Diamond, Toby bitter and the like.
  13. No Louisa, a fiver for the whole shebang with whatever you like on top. Sorry.
  14. My vote for Goal of the season is this little beaut. Well I would, wouldn't I.
  15. There's a mobile pizza guy in Berwick st. Very very good and only a fiver. Cheaper than a sarnie and soup at Pret *waits for Louisa's head to explode*
  16. I do believe Louisa would like a pret-a-manger in LL, you know what with their no bread sandwiches(salad) an' all. And you think Frittata is pretentious?
  17. The Kings Arms Roupell st. Proper and lovely pub.

  20. yeah woody, but she's gonna have to remove yer shite art as well isn't she. That probably blows any budget.
  21. Wot Pickle said.
  22. I'm quite excited about it TBH, its all about the transport links for me. No more queueing for effing hours to get home. In a funny way I think this decision has probably done for Fat Sam, they need to increase the crowd and his brand of "muscle football" isn't going to do that. Either way I expect WHUFC to be sold on to a city based concern within 3 years.
