  1. I really don't understand what it is with Arsenal but suspect it's more how they "do" their business. Every year held to ransom by a key player, endless protracted speculation and inertia over key targets, anyone remember the nonsense over their signing of Arshavin? You've got a manager with a degree in Economics and the club is run by a Banker, I think they just frustrate other clubs whilst trying to be a bit clever, forgetting that other organisations will stump up to get the deal done. Excellent start for the Irons, Great to see Joe Cole delivering on the pitch and great to see his interview technique is as dire as ever.
  2. Zen Chop, got the making of a top ten smash.

Oh the irony( insert winky thing)
  4. Rooney wanting to leave = Paul Stretford needs to make money. Rooney staying without MUFC renegotiating new contract= Paul Stretford not making money. Media stoked by PS = better chance to make money. Rooney=thick puppet.
  5. i know what you mean Maxxi but Scott Parker isn't going to solve the striker shortage and to be honest Nolan comes up with his fair share. My highlight of the closed season is (so far) we've still got Diame, for me, a jewel *crosses fingers, toes and testicles*. edited to correct plural of bollox

Joking aside, I'm semi-positive, Ravel Morrison has score quite a few pre-season, be interesting to see if BFS has rounded the edges of a particularly rough diamond.
  7. watch the video, you're not alone http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2013/08/05/jason_sudeikis_soccer_ad_an_american_coach_in_london_watch_nbc_premier_league.html

I ride a fixed bike, have done for 10 years, I can adhere to the law and respect road users and pedestrians. What makes you so special?
  9. Tell me about it.......
  10. Arsenal have triggered the 40m clause in his contract. Can't wait for AW's next whine about "tapping up" players.

  12. If you keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you've probably missed the point.
  13. Cadence Cafe at Crystal Palace. Not sure if they do booze tho'
  14. Amazing stuff. I think this series might end up a Rollercoaster a la 2005. Regarding Broad, most pro's seem to think he did the right thing, me though? It's just not Cricket and getting a little too football for my liking.

  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22928641 Bonkers, hilarious and very, very strange.
  21. I though it was excellent, dark, f*&8ed up in places and hugely watchable. It hasn't ended though, so I don't know how the "ending" was supposed to be shit. To Be Continued were the last things on the final scene, so all those strands with prostitutes, suicide, police murder and multiple murder are still there, flapping and ready for the next series. Or am I missing something?
  22. Withnail and I

  24. Fox is right. Richmond Park has a 20mph limit and at one stage the police set up camera traps and ticketed a load of cyclists of a Saturday morning, every week for about a month. They've eased up now but by law you are supposed to adhere to limits on public roads (within your knowledge but therein lies a whole other debate.) I got pulled over by a giggling copper descending Petersham hill clocking 41mph through a 20mph speed limit. I got off with a warning and a smirk.
