  1. Very empty on Wednesday afternoon when I went to Sainsbury's but still managed to set off the alarms on my way out for some reason but the security guard just waved me on!
  2. I take my old AA and AAA batteries to the drop off bins at the entrance of Sainsburys Dog Kennel Hill and any plastic bags.
  3. Well she is irrelevant now!
  4. I've been shopping at Sainsburys for myself and family and a couple of vulnerable people who were and are still shielding. They had Iceland deliveries and were desperate for some Sainsburys items but in the situation over the past few months they had to make do if I couldn't get them. Can't really fault Iceland as shopped for another person in the lockdown and found their instore service just as good as Sainsburys.
  5. Embarrassed
  6. Isn't that being ageist?
  7. Just finished Nicholas and Alexandra by Richard K Massie. Another book I couldn't put down.
  8. Thanks Bob! I'm sure most people would hope you are tackling the low life criminals that are out and about in the area.
  9. No, it's not very comfortable shopping in Rye Lane now wonderwoman! Bike riders and now the electronic scooters suddenly coming at you at speed as if I'm the person in the wrong! These people are usually just passing by on the cycle lanes etc. put in place by Southwark and don't contribute to the area at all in any way. Shame on Southwark Council!

I have the Sainsburys App which gave out the info. Was at Sainsburys this afternoon around 3pm and it wasn't busy at all and the shelves were well stocked.
  11. Wasn't that in the 1920s?

Many vulnerable people i.e. people that cannot walk or cycle to local destinations are now finding bus routes etc. suddenly stopped.

Public transport in the area has been greatly affected because of the ridiculous sudden decision to close off the left and right turn area into the corner of Dulwich Village. The P4 and 42 bus schedule for key workers has been greatly affected by this. Wasn't there a big scheme to re-make the area easier for cyclists and school issues about a year ago? That was a disaster with concrete islands placed in wrong area for pedestrians and also bike and car users.
  14. I'm sure it was still the Palace of Peace in the late 1970s/early 1980s. Can still picture the owner walking up and down outside the venue in his 1970s style suit.
