  1. I went this morning around 10.30 and was surprised to find the queue was only at Starbucks and thought I could get in and out around 30 mins. It didn't work out that way as was very slow going in and a staff member came along the front queue stating they were waiting for people to clear at the meat and fish section. Came out the exit around an hour later and the queue was out onto Dog Kennel Hill.
  2. Looks like the Original Poster of this thread has not checked back on their question dated 5th May. Hope they collected their item from DKH Argos?
  3. Can't believe that people are waiting for their bank statements etc. birthday cards and presents to arrive on time in these unprecedented times!

Just to say I've always known the area to be known as Greendale i.e. not two separate words Green Dale. The terribly ugly flats at the top of the Greendale, off Wanley Road, next door to the Mother Goose nursery was once a thriving local pub called the Greendale.
  5. I should think all Post Offices are open and have been open throughout the current situation. I've still been using my two local Post Offices to post off parcels with no problems during the past few weeks. I've sent a couple of food parcels off to my daughter who is currently up in Birmingham in her last year at university and she has received them both ok. I would send off a face mask at second class signed for postage. It did cost ?3.95 but recently went up to around ?4.10. Just found this out as I also send off stuff I sell on ebay.
  6. Went to Sains last Wednesday morning to do a small shop and also to get a refund on a pack of fish my other half had bought earlier in the week. The pack of fish still had a sell by date of 9th May but when opened on the 6th May was uneatable. I didn't have a receipt but went to customer services and showed a photo of the said item with sell by date but two members of staff still said I couldn't have a replacement and watched as I paid ?2 for another pack of the same fish that I'd brought to the customer services. Been shopping at the DKH Sains since it opened over 20 years ago.
  7. I think it opens on the 14th but don't quote me on that.

There's never a good time to go and you just have to take pot luck! Went on Tuesday morning and queued for around 25 minutes. As I got towards the front a couple sauntered towards the front of the queue and asked about the Argos situation but were re-directed to go back to the end of queue. I did feel for them but maybe Argos should be updating their website.
  9. My daughter has a Netflix account and she is isolating with us. We started watching Ozark a few weeks ago and ended up binge watching it! Gripping stuff.
  10. Thanks for this pearl1. I'm going Sains tomorrow for a friend and neighbour who is isolating.
