Hi Our tv (new in 2021) showing aerial problems. Aerial as below. We need a reliable person hopefully local to check it out. The photo is upside down- can't get it to right itself....! the aerial is actually attached to the zinc cladding on the balcony!

Me too, No response earlier at all from the 9000 number, then no-one to take your call both Orthopaedics, then Neurology! Also there doesn't seem to be any way to contact appointments by email either.

Can anyone tell me when the overkill of Eurocarpark signs went up outside the Centre? I saw them for the first time mid October.

Any recommendations for someone to make small repairs to frame and trickle vent on modern aluminium d.g. windows?

There's an excellent lingerie shop here already- 'Bloomers' 209 Lordship Lane bloomerslingerie.com -
We used live in a terrace of small Edwardian houses with steps and no front area space, so we all had a small bin that fitted next to the front door. Then recycling was introduced and green bins. The recycling box was no problem, but the large green bins had to be hauled over a small wall, (or habitually left on the pavement) When the blue bins were first introduced we were on holiday, and when we returned, our street was like Bin City. Veolia were supposed to have checked the viability of large bins in small spaces; they didn't. London is full of boroughs with vintage terraces, and the posher ones are required to use separate bags for their rubbish, to be left out only on the day. After a long and determined struggle we managed to get this for our street, and it worked very well. Environmentally it was a triumph! The problem seems to be multi residential homes where tenants come and go, and no-one thinks they are responsible for the bins.

185 is back on diversion on Lordship lane again
dds29 replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We caught the P13 from Whately Rd to Belvoir Rd this morning; this way the route is back to normal the driver told us, but towards New Cross Gate is still on diversion. Still no 363s on Underhill, Melford or Wood Vale. Such a lack of info! No signs on any of the affected bus stops- people trying to get to and from work/school etc. We are effectively cut off public transport wise! On Thursday I phoned tfl and was told the water work should be finished on Tuesday. Yes, well... -
Overhill/Belvoir/Underhill roads being used as a bypass

Residents on Melford Rd, and our fellow sufferers on Wood Vale were already complaining to councillors about the increase in traffic over the last few years, especiallly HGVs, coaches and vans of all sizes-(thank you sat nav,) but since the Great Thames Water Disaster, it's even worse, and as you say, the behaviour of some drivers is appalling! We held a meeting in January attended by 2 councillors, for anyone concerned by this, and even on the snowiest coldest night, 16 people turned up! We are hoping to have a Community Council Meeting about this increase in traffic avoiding the main roads, using small side streets that aren't appropriate for such large and heavy vehicles, usually at speed. Send me a pm if you're interested and I'll keep you posted on any updates plus the C.C.meeting date. -
Increase in HGV in Melford Rd and Wood Vale
dds29 replied to dds29's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I take your point and of course the building work has added to the recent increase-in Melford and Wood Vale; however that tends to be vans of assorted shapes and sizes and there are very few builder's lorries that actually call at premises in these roads. The skip lorries use this as a route to the South Circular on a regular basis- they carry empty skips at top speed and do not stop. -
It's now moved.

Increase in HGV in Melford Rd and Wood Vale

I'll certainly let you know about the meeting AS, and thanks penguin68 for the info., that's very useful. -
If you live in Melford Rd or Wood Vale (Southwark side) and are angry/frustrated/upset about the increase in HGV and other commercial traffic as well as cars that speed along both of these roads while taking a short cut to the S. Circular, then join myself (Melford Rd) and TA (Wood Vale) as we tackle tfl and Southwark Council for solutions. Send me a pm, and if there is a good response we will organise a meeting (promises by ward councillor(s) to attend.)

My fault- I wasn't sure if it was allowed in the main Forum!
-
Many reasons probably. The discovery of the short cut to the South Circular;Skip lorries etc relocating premises to outer London since traditional industrial areas of Inner London diminish, the many and various vans delivering online sales, sub-contracting leading to the many extra individual vans and lorries- it's endless- but as usual we get to saturation point before people realise it's affecting their quality of life.

Maria's Tortilla - East Dulwich.

Absolutely!! -
Totally agree with budleigh; We never paid more than ?6 for filled pasta for two. And it was top quality-delicious and as good as any I've enjoyed in Italy. Also can't people walk into a shop and have a look at what's on offer? Even have a conversation with the staff?
