I have a few slate tiles that have fallen off the roof of my house in Nunhead. Can anyone recommend a roofer who would be willing to do a small job like this plus maybe clean out the guttering while he?s up there? I contacted Russell Perring but he?s not doing any jobs at the moment in the current circumstances. Many thanks for any help! Stay safe everyone!

Hi Everyone I would just like to recommend Dave Sutherland 07951810251 and his team to you all. I found him here on the forum where he was highly recommended by several people. He Painted my entire 3 bed house inside and out. When he came round to quote he was so enthusiastic about my home and told me he would treat it as his own and do the standard of work he would want in his own home. That is exactly what he did. His team of men and women were all polite, friendly and brilliantly skilled. He also recommended a couple of great gardeners to me Kate 07814066138 who is a delight and came and gave me loads of great advice but sadly couldn't do the job as she'd put her shoulder out so also recommended Ted Brayshaw 07944197946. Ted came and tidied up my back and front gardens and cleared away all the rubbish. He did an amazing job and was a really lovely guy. They are both horticulturally trained so really know their stuff. I cant recommend this gang of lovely talented people highly enough. I will always use them from now on as I trust them to do a fantastic job for a reasonable price.

Hi I'm looking for a regular gardener to maintain my garden in Nunhead. mainly hedge trimming and clearing, lawn mowing, pruning and weeding.I need someone to come regularly March - Oct. I've had people round before who don't know the difference between plants and weeds which is no good for me so I'm looking for someone who is knowledgeable, hardworking, and speedy. Many thanks!

I'm looking for gardener recommendations. I need a gardener to maintain my house in Nunhead. The main issues are maintaining 4 large privet hedges and 1 small one, mowing a small square lawn, pruning a wisteria, jasmine, 2 x tree ferns, keeping a small cherry tree pruned, a rose and other small shrubs. I will want to engage a gardener form March-October inclusive, every year. LookinG for someone to start ASAP.

I have used Joseph twice now to move 3 x antique linen covered chairs and he has always been extremely careful, reasonably priced and punctual. I would definitely use him again.

I can highly recommend Joseph too! He has just moved an antique French chair, antique French chaise and another linen chair from London to Carterton in Oxfordshire for me. Hi Everyone I'm looking for a gardener to come once a week during the spring and summer months to do maintenance at my house in nunhead that I rent out. There is a small lawn area that will need cutting every week. The garden is enclosed by 3 large privet hedges that need cutting every 2 weeks. Except for a wisteria and a jasmine climbing up a pergola all other plants are in pots so just need pruning. There is a front garden that has 2 smaller privet hedges a rose bush and a few plants that require pruning. I would be very grateful for recommendations of gardeners who know there plants and when and how to prune them and is also good at hedge cutting and clearing. Many thanks in advance.

He changed my electric trip switch board, lights and fan in my bathroom as he told me they didn't comply with safety regs, fitted new smoke alarms and check the safety of all the electric in the house. Does anyone know where you can take your quality second hand clothes to sell. I know there is Give & Take but I want to get cash for them rather than a voucher that I then have to spend in their store. Kind of defeats the object! I want to get rid of stuff not replace it with more stuff! There used to be Frankie & Lola in Crystal palace but they've closed down. The place on Melborn grove doesn't buy from individuals but buys bulk stock. Can't seem to find anywhere so any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!

I have a leather corner sofa and hate it (cold in winter hot and sticky in summer)! I'm desperate to change it and wondered if a) it's possible to recover it in linen? And b) is it worth it or will it cost as much as a new one? If its worth doing anyone know of someone who can do it?? Thanks!

Anyone know of or can recommend a gardener who is able to cut hedges? I have 4 very long, tall, thick hedges that have got out of hand and need to be seriously lowered with a chain saw and then the sides cut back. I also need all the cuttings taken away. I have had a quote fromWestway tree care & Landscapes but they are really expensive and quoted me ?550!!! Anyone know of someone cheaper but good?
