Keef & Fear n' Boozin running the CPT quiz Wednesday 13th June

I would like to come Andrew -
Agree with Sean's points. I think there is a slight tension between the following items. I would suggest putting these two points next to each other and saying

This thread looks like a candidate for delounging ;-)

It is fairly clear that discussion can wander away from the original topic, and often the new topic is worthy of discussion. Sometimes it would be useful to quote the existing text and start a new topic (maybe in a different section - voluntary lounging). Something like XXXX said in thread "YYYY YYYY YYYY" > zzz zzz zzz zzzz zzzzz New content........ Of course this might be a lot of work and I guess it could be achieved manually.

How would this work. Would there be a way of manually writing the name of the owner? (or by a suitable printer). I have been thinking about something similar in a different context. I have thought of printing somthing out on a colour printer then laminating it. Easy on day one when you have a list of all members but more fiddly for one by one joiners.

In a valiant attempt to avoid lounging, I will return the the theme of the CH. In the previous incarnation it was tenanted - the Landord ran the pub and paid Young's for the privilege. It is now managed - ie run by Young's who pay the manager to manage it.

The author lives / lived round here, and I knew him from a previous life. I once saw him at the bus stop and was about to say hello. But then 2 buses turned up and we got on differrent ones.

Best route from ED to Farringdon on public transport?
OutOfFocus replied to Mark's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Which takes you into zone 3. It is frustrating that you have to pay more to go this route. Out of the rush hour you can go ED -> London Bridge -> Farringdon but the Thameslink service doesnt go via LD during the rush hour. -
There are two music shops in the area - South London Music is at 54 Grove Vale, http://www.slmusic.co.uk/ - Dulwich Music Shop in Uplands Road. They were originally at that address, moved for a long time to W Dulwich but saw the error of their ways ;-) and returned to ED earlier this year. Was this the sort of shop your enquirer was thinking about ......

Are there any scientologists in our midst?

But I think the whole point is that this sort of thing only applies to prepay and prepay doesnt work on National rail. I don't see how it can do - if you make one journey on Monday, does it know whetehr you are intending to travel all week, all month... My anoyance is at the TOC's tardy response to Prepay, not to shooting the messenger monyvibescu.

Whilst I think it not worth getting legalistic over 20 GBP, the company really ought to be making sure their staff don't give naff advice. Have you tried http://www.londontravelwatch.org.uk. The following looks similar to what happened to you

Mark Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But yes, > keep it simple, I think perhaps 5 fields and then > one generic 'About Me' one I agree that you can get carried away with lots of fields, most of which people won't use. I would suggest - an about me (free format text) - text box for for misc links. For example I might put in Andrew's Flickr pictures http://www.morleychamberchoir.org.uk/ Choir I sing in The latter would cover most of the wierd and wonderful fields people want.

I suggested that once the CH reopened we should ought to test it out with a forum meet,

http://www.clockhousepub.com/ says it is reopening on 3-May. Were you to sit on the bench in the back room on the left hand corner you would have realised why a refrub might be a good idea. The bench had a an undulation in it and you ended up sitting on hard bit of wood :( Perhaps we ought to test it out with a forum meet, but I would wait for a few weeks after the reopening.
