  1. Full Circle, I remember it was Bracknell but what was the pub called? We had some funtastic sundays there, prolonging the weekend by another half-a-day, with another cheeky little half! I once snogged Smokin' Jo there, or maybe it was one of those trannies on stilts from an earlier post. Can we draw a line under this now, can we talk about being teenage punk rockers at our crappy Comprehensives??!
  2. The people's flag is deepest RED, it shrouded oft our martyred dead, and ere their limbs grew stiff and cold, their hearts' blood dyed its every fold......
  3. Great atmosphere, friendly stall-holders and sky-high, rip-off prices!
  4. Was Tonka a South coast 'thing'? I remember Harvey from 'Moist', again at The Gardening Club; I'm sure I heard Larry Levan spin there too. F**k, it seems like a thousand years ago, or just like yesterday!! Did anybody ever go to: The Brain, Labyrinth, Flying, Kinky Disco, Love Ranch, 'The Drop' parties, Farringdon, early 'End' nights (Subterrain)? Gotta stop now, coming up a little ; just on the memories alone! How can you explain to anybody else who wasn't there: the sights, the sounds, the antics - not all MDMA-induced! - the musik, the vibe, the matiness, the togetherness, and deep, deep house music, all night long?
  5. Co-operative Bank - Ethical and owned by us, the depositors; not perfect, by any account ('scuse the pun!), but means you're able to put your money where your mouth is (sorry, more puns mixed with a cliche', but it's too early, and on a saturday an' all!)
  6. Books for Burning: Between civil war and democracy in 1970s Italy - Antonio Negri. Complex, Marxist-theory rammed collection of polemical pamphlets from Europe's leading political philosopher. Can't wait for: Commonwealth (coming out in Oct. 2009)Michael Hardt, Toni Negri www.hup.harvard.edu - Harvard University Press: Commonwealth by Michael Hardt
  7. Loadsa American House pioneers - Adonis, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens "bringing down the walls" too many to list '92/93, not sure, time to slow down, repair the synapses, re-stock the serotonin supply; this much fun shouldn't be allowed! 27 years old and charlie is about to slaughter the scene. The End, my end!
  8. So let's mobilise the ED Forum electronic electorate;no excuses, get out there and vote!
  9. I've just finished 'The Damned United'- David Peace. An excellent read; depressing and gripping in equal measure. Thoroughly recommend it.
  10. www.generation-online.org Fascinating and thought-provoking!
  11. C'mon fellow Dulwichites! It's gonna be a beautiful, warm summer's evening; perfect for registering your disapproval of the corrupt, time-serving policies of all three of the mainstream parties, and hopefully adding impetus to the departure of Gordon Brown! Vote Left ( SPGB or SLP ) vote Green, reject the Fascist BNP, but please don't just sit at home rotting your minds with TV or sinking the fourth or fifth in those 'o so trendy' Lordship Lane pubs and whine bars; get engaged with the political process and remember these rights were hard-fought and won!
