What's this thread about?

-----------------------

it was about roll deep being banned again then decended into a big argument about moderators then ???? and someone else started backbiting then we all started throwing chairs around and smashing the bar up, then lady muck took one of her crocs off and jumpped into the melee spanking all and sundry who were fighting telling them to be nice and eventually wrestled mark to the ground and gave him a chinese burn. Then roll deep reappeared for the umpteenth time in a new guise which fooled none and I spilt my pint down my painted trousers and decided that was a good time to goto bed , dunno what happened today but hopefully the eyeballs have all been sweeped up, and new saw dust thrown on the lounge floor...................

Much much better today thank you iaineasy...been having fun on the Home Cooking Ideas, Tips and Recipes thread...just been watching Stanley Baxter as "Mrs Bridges"...very funny. How about you? How have things been with you today? You swore quite a bit yesterday...not like you at all.

I was swearing the day before sorry about that but I get a little hostile in the face of unfairness sometimes. Had a good day today, finished a job and gave a lovely couple from on here their house back all nicely decorated.

just mooching through the threads now to see whats new for half hour.

I think the thread affected a lot of people...who all reacted differently...some swore (like you), some threw things, others cried (I know I did), some sh*t-stirred, etc. etc....it's all part of human nature.

Had a good day today...

Oh, Ian you should have stayed up, it went on very well from there.

For a start Brendan made up a load of hyphenated surnames for himself, then LadyMuck, it might have been Quids and Mick Mac made some marvelouslly amusing remarks. It was all very droll.

*looks around furtively to see if LadyMuck will notice him appropriating her trademark action asterisks*

*seeing no sign of LM, breathes sigh of relief and wipes imaginary sweat from brow*

*decides to stop rambling and get his fat ass back to the point and follow up what he should have *action asterisked*, three sentences previously and just types wind whistles, tumbleweeds blow*

*wonders what Jacques Derrida might have made of all this*

*looks at above, realises self is two-thirds lacking in a Three Stooges tribute act and retires to bed with a bottle of strong liquor*

So IanEasy, painted trousers you say. Clash fan are you?

    • It has come to this author’s attention that the world of 4+ admissions — that most enigmatic of educational rites — continues to bewilder even the most composed of parents. Fear not. For in a former life, I was not merely a humble observer, but a seasoned educator of over twenty years, and Head of Pre-Prep for a distinguished dozen. Now, with quill exchanged for touchscreen, I have taken to that most modern of salons — Instagram — to dispense guidance, answer frequently whispered questions, and illuminate the shadowy corners of school selection with clarity and calm. Each post bears my signature twist: a blend of insight, levity, and the occasional raised eyebrow. Should you find yourself adrift in the sea of admissions, I suggest you peruse my latest dispatch. It may well be the lifeline you seek. The Delicate Dilemma of the Summer-born 4+ Scholars Yours in solidarity and scholastic savvy, Lord Pencilton  🎩✏️
    • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
    • So dangerous!    Can you be more specific about the road this was in and when you report it?  Maybe there’s some CCTV footage available
