Loving the winter Olympics, and getting strangely engrossed in the curling. It can be quite exciting as the stone goes down. Maybe that's an indication of my life, who cares.

Loving the snowboarding too, just love it all, except the cross-country, biathlon and nordic combined boring or what!! Hours watching people drag themselves across the snow, please, and you say curling is boring??

The snowboard cross is great fun to watch though - utterly nuts. As is the moguls and freestyle skiing.

Curling - I played it while at school and Uni (I even beat one of the Olympic gold-medal winning team on occasion) and while I loved playing it, it's not the greatest spectator sport.

Jealousy on the helmet front I think, a case of 'I can't believe Britain will beat us'. Typical attitude when something new happens, rattles everyone cages. Happens at least once in every Olympics.

But yes, well done to Amy, wish I had stayed up to watch it now.

    • I also do not want to name a shop but there is one on Lordship Lane that sells fruit and veg and on several occasions now I have brought produce home to discover that what was weighed as 500g in the shop was 460g when I weighed it at home. And yes I checked my scales weren't wrong buy weighing a 1KG bag of sugar. Beware folks.
    • Hi, My Nut Dog, destroyed it earlier this week.. Anyone have one lurking at home that is free or not retail price please? This one was only five months old..new.. my rescue dog has gone back into stress mode… not his fault either and no idea what has caused it but crate reduces barking and he settles. Thanks in advance..
    • Check pugwash …recommended place in East Dulwich Grove.. can’t remember name of Italian near bus stop just before where Poundland use  to be..lovely staff, quiet back area..might be abit cold but inside area as well. Only drawback is steep steps to toilet downstairs. Personally like Viet place.. no shouting and toilets on ground floor. Lovely staff but some do have abit of problem understanding English! Someone else also recommended some place  in Underhill Road - open at night. Check Sue, kindly forwarded menu earlier on today. Think Italian place is due Fratelli… went earlier this year and staff were so accommodating with menu, seating etc…
    • Maybe they need to extend the cancellation period out 48 hours to stop people booking speculatively?
