Out of interest, does anyone else on this forum utilise the amazing facilities at the centre? It's the second time I've asked a question about the sports centre, with many views but zero responses.

If you haven't been there, please do, there is no comparable facility in SE London. I for one don't want it to disappear.

Thanks help-me-boab, yes had seen similar so had thought it was ok:

However this rumour has originated last night - apparently the hockey club that trains there was told last night it would lose the facilites asap. They were unsure though if it's only the external facilities or the entire centre.

I read your OP, I had a look on google, I had nothing useful to add so I never responded. I guess a lot of the people that viewed the OP were in a similar boat.

I regulary use the pool, and their swim only membership helps, as I don't really use the gym, but swim a lot, which saves wasting money on a more expensive membership

After using the 50 metre pool, it makes any visits to the Dulwich one seem like a mere paddle. I always nearly end up watching stuff going on in the inside courts or the athletics track when I visit.

It's a great place...the kids doing their High Diving when I'm up there always amaze me.

    • I'd try the Dulwich Village or "North Dulwich Triangle" forums for more local knowledge but I don't think those areas compare to Abeville Road at all. It will be quite a different lifestyle.
    • Yes, Dulwich Village commands a premium and justifiably so given access to the City via London Bridge plus the top rate schools within walking distance.  The bus services are really good also - 37, 42 and P4. The P4 is useful for connecting to the Victoria line at Brixton. It's worthwhile waiting for the right property. I know of one which will be coming on the market in a few weeks - 4 bedrooms and south facing garden circa £2.5m.
    • This is an utterly foolish and alarmist statement, completely at odds with reality.
    • I realise this is highly unlikely, but if anyone has a colour laser printer in very good working order, I'd be delighted to take it off your hands!
