Do you know the bloke who was locked in the portaloo at Dulwich Park on xmas eve?

Recommended Posts

Hi - bit of an unusual request. I'm a local resident and a regular on the forum who also happens to be a journalist at a weekly women's mag. For the past few weeks we've been desperately trying to trace the poor bloke who was jogging in Dulwich park on xmas eve and ended up getting locked in a portaloo. We've not had any success so far. So, as a last resort, I wondered if he was reading this, he might get in touch as there would be money up for grabs for his story. Alternatively, you might know him so could pass on my message. Thank you!
Not much of a journalist. It wasn't a portaloo. It was an old fashioned park toilets and looked more like a case of old fashioned cottaging so I'm sure he'd prefer to keep his anonymity for fear of being outed as a toilet trader.

Hey guys, don't slate Bishberro for wanting to tell this epic tale of heroism, betrayal & ulimately redemption, it's up there with the brave tales such as the race for the South Pole, Stalingrad & Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skulls thing.

Loohire, i think that we should arrange it so that I get 'stuck' in one of your portaloos on April Fools Day- I'll split the money with you :)-D

And if you want to get quoted on This Morning by Pip Schofield, make sure you include the sentence 'Perhaps the jogger got the runs'

There's no charge for that one, though. And I'll not be requiring a credit.

    • I don't know how it works now but my late parents had little money when they were retired (just state pension and they rented their flat) and they used to take their cat to the Blue Cross (In Victoria if I remember correctly) where treatment was free for those who could'nt afford a private vet. I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
