damzel
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on these. My daughter stays fairly close by but sometimes in public places she refuses to hold my hand so I end up not able to take my eyes off her and therefore can't concentrate on anything else. I think the backpack with the lead is a great idea but wonder if having to wear the backpack is actually inconvenient and a bit of a chore. The wrist link seems the simple option but I haven't seen anyone around using them so wonder if kids just don't like them?I'm thinking airports, shopping centres etc.Does anyone have any experience with them? Fuschia
we have backpacks. very easy to put on, kids happy, can also put a drink or spare nappy in there and save taking a bag Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10084-toddler-back-pack-lead-or-wrist-lead/#findComment-298678 Share on other sites
melbourne groover
I second the backpack - my daughter really liked hers and it had the added bonus of the top handle for a quick catch if they tripped etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10084-toddler-back-pack-lead-or-wrist-lead/#findComment-298685 Share on other sites
Fuschia
You can also add a caribiner and tether your child to a door handle. :-)(For the purooses of getting twins in and out of the car, I mean!) Moos
You could borrow ours if you like - it's dog-shaped with the lead being the tail, and quite sweet. We ended up not needing it as much as I thought we would it's not being used. ladywotlunches
I had the wrist strap. Mine was very happy using it when smaller, and just today I adapted it to be a handy 'tow-rope' for his bike when he got a bit lazy (and for slowing him down - the elastic bit works well for that!) ludoscotts
we had a wrist link and our little houdini managed to undo it(she also mastered opening the stair gate at 10 months old so I shouldnt have been surprised!) but she has never got free from her reins and walks quite happily with them on.
