Hi,

It's a long shot but I've been let down by an online order for photograph icing for my daughter's birthday cake - does anyone know where I can get it done TODAY? Party tomorrow and stupidly have held out for the order to be delivered in time but not looking likely now. Any pointers, much appreciated

Thanks x

Hiya,

Thanks for the posts - am trying to get through to ASDA before schlepping up there.

Ludoscotts - good idea and if it was just one cake I'd definitely go with it - but its a cupcake 'tree' and each cake has a photo of her friends on - not sure if I have the patience to do all of them...... HoHum it may just be the cupcakes (and I have no doubt the kids won't notice a thing so why am I worrying???) x

Sounds lovely, hope the girls enjoy (ed?) them.

It is great fun doing the parties isn't it. We did a massive pirate party last year, even the adults dressed up and we did pirate themed games too. We were totallyexhausted by the end of it, but it was great fun.

Dazie, sorry to hear you had such an unhappy childhood so it seems. You seem to lurk and only post to criticise others (as on the valentines thread). What a shame.

Hi Ann,

It's not too bad I'd say - I had 24 individual photographs put onto icing and it was ?14 including postage - I make the cupcakes myself so just the cost of ingredients there (so maybe ?18 for the whole thing?). If you want to do just one photo - the very helpful lady at ASDA told me the cakes start at ?8 and they mount the photo onto the cake for you. The website I used for the icing was crazycakes.co.uk.

Party's tomorrow, should be lots of fun..... xx

    • A quick assessment on having a barter scheme amongst the community. An exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    I wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? Or perhaps  an additional aspect of the forum itself if it was easy to include? I don’t have IT knowledge to set this up unfortunate, but I do have skills that I could offer. From past experience, it would probably work best as a direct exchange rather than coupon credit.    I may be flaunting the rules by posting on this twice, admin please feel free to delete one if this is the case.
