huff25
Hi all, my wife and I are considering moving to East Dulwich, we love the area and would like some advice. We have a young family, however we do not own a Bugaboo puschair, we could only stretch to a Maclaren Quest, would we be accepted by the community? Would we end up as social pariahs? Jah Lush
You will be shunned and mocked in the streets. People will point at your pathetic Maclaren Quest and laugh. You have been warned. david_carnell
Please also note that lattes, frappes and cappucinos are now also passe and liable to cause social death. The coffee du jour is the 'flat white' and should be ordered, with a knowing nod and wink at the barista, despite its absence from the chalkboard above the counter. Loz
If you can't afford a bugaboo, aren't you supposed to use one of those sling things, to achieve the 'ethnic' look? Or is that passe now as well? Brendan
Sling? Our mum used to tie us to her back with a beach towel. Is that the sort of thing you?re getting at? Wouldn?t a rucksack of sorts be easier? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10275-moving-to-east-dulwich/#findComment-303439 Share on other sites

Horsebox
Lumley, eh?I can't see her mentioned anywhere without the story of how her fondness for marching powder led to some rather interesting reconstructive surgery springing to mind.Probably false but a good story nonetheless.
