SeanMacGabhann
That's not a silly statement at all. It just isn't quite the same thing you implied in the earlier post. Glad you cleared it up and you aren't accusing them of just making money Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10357-look-out-for-new-traffic-camera-car-in-east-dulwich/page/2/#findComment-307079 Share on other sites
Only me!
>99% of ED residents are indeed law abiding ... but that's not the point. With a little research, some local knowledge & intelligent planning this Council resource & it's camera can be targeted on the <1% quite easily. With little or no "collateral damage."Which will enhance safety & benefit all of us.So please snap away ..... & if a little help needed on where to be & when .... a swift poll on here will I'm sure be most informative. ruffers
99% are indeed law abiding. I believe only those who are breaking the law get prosecuted though so that's all right. If you don't park where you're not supposed to you'll be fine. Domitianus
If they are indeed innocent, then 99% of ED residents have nowt to fear from this new camera car thingie. If they do break the law they might get done for it - boo-hoo! Tough tittie! Serves them right! From recent posts on parking, school drop-offs etc etc, it seems however that there is a goodly number of ED residents who are not innocent but are selfish, inconsiderate, law-breakers. As for safety, most (possibly not all) road traffic regulations have some connection to safety issues, so I find it difficult to understand how focusing on those breaking the law doesn't simultaneously deal with safety concerns. kford
God help the East Dulwich bus commuter today. Not only do they have to put up with extra passengers because of the Tube strike and kids going back to school and continuing roadworks on LL, they have to contend with the northbound bus lane blocked by the Southwark Camera Car - again!Still, APCOA, their American contractor, has bucks to make.
