Yup, "usually by the 3rd day I wanna dance". " in white spandex". That describes my period to a T. ;-)

How good though to see some-one finally trying to put irony on American TV. Actually maybe that's why the networks refused it. They jsut couldn't get to grips with the 'irony'?!

It is quite common in US popular culture right now to refer to it as your "vajayjay". It began on an episode of Grey's Anatomy, then Oprah Winfrey began to use it and the rest is history. I think it's pretty funny, if you use it because you can't bring yourself to say "vagina" then it's a bit sad. But let's be honest, vagina is not the most elegant word and vajayjay is fun to say and sounds a bit like a party!

A good friend of mine wrote and performed a one woman play called The Vajayjay Monologues as a response to the this; she questioned how we went from The Vagina Monologues to calling it cute names and watching celebrities flash it all over hollywood. Not exactly progress. The play did quite well at the New York Fringe Festival.

In my line of work i've had to learn to say 'vagina' many times a day without thinking twice about it, however sometimes I forget that not everyone uses it as a common part of their day-to-day language, and say it at times when a euphemism may have been more acceptable - as my 14year old daughter (and maybe some of the couples in my classes?) will no doubt testify!

    • There was quite an old clip on BBC4 recently where they were introducing yoghurt to the British public. They called it a 'Balkan Dairy Preparation', which sounded to me more like something you'd ask to speak to the male member of staff about in the chemist in those days.
    • I haven't had any problems, except when the online  appointment system is full, but I have found if something is urgent they can fit you in if you phone. I think they probably keep a few spaces free for urgent last minute appointments, but I'm just guessing  I've found it quite convenient being able to email questions which previously I would have had to ask at an actual appointment, and I've always had a speedy reply. You can send photos as well. I don't know about forms and letters. That sounds bad. Have the admin staff changed recently?
    • Nearly a quarter of the way through the season. Week 9 points...   Week 9 table...
    • The yoghurt was very sharp (not sure of right word) and  if memory serves quite runny. Nothing like the stuff sold now. There was pink as well. Strawberry? That must have had sugar in? Too new fangled for us, but my Auntie Grace down the road used to get it 😂 Well, you had to keep up to date. Sorry, couldn't resist.
