Hello all

I am thinking about setting up a Nursery in the Nunhead area and as part of my research, I am interested in finding out about the childcare needs within the community. For example; is another nursery needed? breakfast club, afterschool club, holiday club.

Would an all year round Nursery be good with the option of term time only? I really want to meet the needs of parent/carers and I welcome any ideas, feedback you have.

Thank you and have a good day

Hi

Thank you for your posts. I wanted to arrange a focus group session at The Green, Nunhead Community Centre in the next few weeks. Hopefully this thread gains some more interest so I will keep you informed of the date and if it dosent suit we can look at changing but would a morning, afternoon or evening session be good?

    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
