Lenny Henry is actually Big and small!

Yes, 64 Zoo Lane is definitely the pick of the bunch. Is it immature of me to sing the song as '64 Poo Lane', though?

I told my daughter in complete frustration the other day that she wouldn't be watching Waybaloo as they were 'loons' - she seemed quite offended. What's with the strange noises and baby talk on shows like Waybaloo and In the Night Garden? Surely they're meant to be helping our children learn to form actual words.

Didn't know Lenny was Big AND Small. Fascinating, yet still quite grating.

There's also a new one (well, since I went away in Feb anyway) called Zingzillas which my kids love. So far I've seen Cleo Laine, John Dankworth and Julian Lloyd-Webber on it, quite impressive for a kids programme (and all people I've had the pleasure of performing with in the past, so kids are getting a running commentary on Mummy's life pre-children!).

What's your vision of Lead ZingZilla? What do you reckon lurks beneath??? Just trying to get a visual....

For slightly older kids: CBBC, 5.45pm Mon-Thur, Big Babies. It's excellent. Sometimes it's followed by Sean the Sheep and then Jakers, which is an all-star line up in my book.

Third and Bird was very popular with my lot for a while, but then the Wonderpets came along and no one's doing the muffin any more.

Not sure - I just think he looks like he hasa nice body.

Ooh - I sound like a perv now.

It's not Billy Connolly. It's a chap called Lewis McLeod who does lots of voiceovers on all sorts of stuff and can do some good impressions too. Hence the Billy Connolly.

Of course the real lyrics to Zoo Lane go "There's one with a hump and one that can jump, and one that is a bit of a c---. 64,64,64 Zoo Lane"

    • Maybe if you indicated what you were reviewing, pub, gastro pub, high-end gourmet, local Italian etc. - whatever classifications you wanted, then you need only indicate that your stars referred to overall quality in that category. So it it's pub grub then 5 stars means it's great pub grub, but not the same experience as 5 stars in a high end gourmet category. Your star system could then include implicitly value for money as well.
    • Does OP know they can sell everything but alcohol even without a license?😄
    • Thanks, it's a real dilemma whether to do star ratings. A few people have asked me to do them but I've tried to resist as they are too reductive - people will look at them and won't read review! and they are difficult too - my last review of Victoria Inn, i'd give it five stars for value for money - how can you knock two courses for £18? – but 2 stars for quality - edible but nothing special. Which I guess is why some sites give star ratings for different things...
    • ok - Jeremy himself is against mandatory vaccines. Is he as extreme as his brother? No? Is it fair to discuss how the overall view of that family would inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic? I would argue very much so
