Hello all,

I'm going to have some family visiting London for my wedding in July and am hoping to find a flat or self-catering apartment in the area. My mother, father and three adult children all need a space.

Putting them up in a hotel is going to get very pricey very quickly given the exchange rates, and finding a flat to rent would allow them to stay longer and meet my fiance, see our house, do some tourism, etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

THANK YOU in advance! Caitlin

Hello Connorsc

The Queen's Hotel in Crystal Palace is nice and cheap (around ?30 per room per night). It's basic but ok if you just want somewhere to stay that's not expensive.

When we got married we booked out the whole of the Uplands pub B&B (corner North Cross Rd and Uplands Rd) this costs more (60 or 70 per room) but made for a nice fun atmosphere and the landlady was very helpful, providing lots of sandwiches on the morning of the big day (or so I hear, I was the bride, so in glorious seclusion!)

I booked rooms at the Queen's Hotel at Crystal Palace when I got married some years back and had done quite a local search at the time. It should be fine bearing in mind most will only be staying for a night or two.

Have a lovely wedding!

Ann

    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
