Hi Toast

We didn't get in but we live in Ryedale so I wasn't very hopeful. I may give the waiting list a go as we are 817m from Fairlawn and the furthest distance they have offered to date is almost 784m. It's a miserable affair.

Am so hopping mad that Southwark are holding back until after the elections due no doubt to their monumental f*** ups last year.

I just want to know where my son is going...

Have you seen the numbers though - it's mental 340 applications for 90 places at Fairlawn but that's with 30 additional places (a bulge class??) so it would have been 340 for 60 places.

Meanwhile I can't park in my road at 3pm for parents coming to pick their children up from school as they live so bloody far away

It can't continue like this

They will not all be first choices though, that includes parents who chose other schools further up the preference list

That's a legacy from when they were not so popular!

Mr Bosher told me himself last year he always has kids that fail to turn up on the first day but they have to give a full 2 weeks before they can give the places to someone else. So you may hear soon.

    • Reminds me of Pulp Fiction. Not sure where you go for that sort of action.  I'll dust off my outfit for you EDF meet up Sue
    • That is good to hear. A few years ago I certainly had a hard time convincing two close relatives to give MMR x 2 to their children rather than have six single vaccines done privately as they had been suggested was best by someone in Health Matters.  Glad to hear the anti MMR advice is no longer being given.
    • We recently used Matt and his team to paint multiple areas of our home which have had lots of scuffs and wear over the years. This included repairing paint which was chipping and hairline cracks. They were really efficient with multiple workers tackling the job at the same time meaning the job was completed in a week.  They left the house clean and tidy each night and by the end everything looked great- you wouldn’t have known there were any cracks to begin with.  They were also great at spotting things which were missed by us to be remedied. We’ve had multiple painter decorators over the years and Matt and his team are definitely some of the best we’ve used and would recommend.
