The "poncey new coffee shop" and the "tea n chandeliers" ventures are two distinct entities, are they?

I believe so Ted - the "tea n chandaliers" has an alcohol license and will end up similar to Green & Blue in feel methinks

I understood the "poncey new coffee shop" to be on North Cross Rd

Those with a yen for a position in poncey coffee shop will, it seems, have to wait a little longer.

Just checked our planning applications. It think it maybe 5 North Cross Road: "Change of use from residential dwelling to A3 (restaurant) on the ground floor, and use of the upper floor to provide a one bedroom flat. Installation of external ducting to rear elevation and the insertion of a shopfront on the front elevation in association with the proposed restaurant use."

For some time now a back of an envelope calculation of prospective rental income has indicated that the time had come where it is potentially more profitable, after taking account of conversion costs, to revert those shop to domestic conversions back to retail again.
