The world we live in gets increasingly difficult for the elderly to stay safe and away from vulnerability .A colleague has passed me these leaflets to use on our ward. So feel free to hand to all the elderly you know. We hope you find them helpful. Peckham Rye Local policing team.

I think those leaflets might scare the life out of vunerable people..

I feel vunerable myself at cash points .. I just make sure that anyone hanging about the cash point

knows that I know they are there.

In actual fact I only get money out during the day and I generally go into my bank.

I NEVER take cards out at night.

I just get a load of weird symbols when I click on your attachments.

Is it possible to attach them as pdfs or something?

Thank you Fox.

That's a bit scary!

I do have powerpoint, but it didn't open automatically when I clicked on the link, and no Firefox didn't ask me what I wanted to use to open it :(

But most people won't have powerpoint unless they're at work, and of course nobody would be reading this at work :)) :)) :))

    • As the days shorten having evening fireworks for e.g. birthday parties becomes more realistic, the idea that fireworks is only about Guy Fawkes day or New Year's Eve is not a rule. I personally do not like fireworks, but other do, and I would see no reason to stop other's pleasure. I am sure the local Puritans will object, and there are issues about disturbing wild life with unexpected noise. But I'm in favour of simple pleasures. And many do like fireworks.

    • Most churches rent out halls for children's' parties but rarely adult parties, Christ Church only does afternoon parties,   The East Dulwich Community centre hires out halls to 9 pm only and all music needs to be on a sound restrictor as is in a residential area. St Johns with St Clements have a small hall but not sure if they allow adult parties. Nunhead Green has a newish community centre with a couple of different size halls. Most places seem to charge around £40 ph  with a deposit of £100/200 (returned if no damage or excess cleaning needed.
