That's international. I very much doubt the various AOC/DOP etc agreements would be affected. Although the vast majority are based in Europe, for example Kobe beef has to come from the Kobe region of Japan; anything else is simply Wagyu.

There's similar examples from America.

So no, I doubt it.

Fishing quotas on the other hand...very different battleground. The entire fishing industry is pro-Brexit (and for once I understand why), and that would be one heck of a fight.

They are only international on the basis of trade agreements. Australia used the word 'champagne' quite readily until the EU trade agreement meant they would stop.

So, initially at least, the protected status of those products will cease until new trade agreements are in place.

The (boring but accurate) answer to the question is that EU rules allow applications for protected designation of origin from non EU countries so neither current nor future UK designations will necessarily be affected. EU law obviously doesn't (and never did) affect practices in non-EU countries.

    • The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.
    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
