Dulwich park distance?

I was wondering what the distance of the circle within Dulwich park is? Any joggers or cyclists measured it?

I use it to time my 1 mile splits. Sadly they aren't what they once were.

i thought it was over 1.5 miles according to map my run? i am training for race for life and now i am very disappointed! where are you measuring ....the complete outer edge?

The inner road within the park is the one that is just over the mile - although I suppose it will vary slightly depending on whether you run around the inner curve of the road or the outer curve.

It may very well be 1.5 miles if you run around the perimeter of the park itself.

There are distance markers painted at intervals around

the road. Can't remember the total though.

The distance markers have it down as a bit over 1700m (1 mile = 1609m). I think it is pretty accurate based on a lot of marathon training there last year. Don't forget to factor in a few extra meters for running around the hellions on the yellow tricycles.

I make the inside track 1.7km on mapmyrun, which would tally with the markings on the path. I hope it is, since I've been using it for triathlon training!

The jogging/dog-walking trail around the park is 1.5 miles. It gets fairly muddy in winter but this time of the year is usually ok.
