aerie
David Bowie art collection to be sold at Sotheby's in November. Is anyone else dismayed that it will not be contained in a permanent collection in a major city, preferably London? Angelina
I'm dismayed at many things I do not have the financial oomph to influence. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/114601-bowies-art-collection/#findComment-1023205 Share on other sites
Jeremy
Dismayed.. no. It's a collection of art that one man owned (at one point), doesn't mean it should be associated with him in perpetuity. red devil
If it's purely a collection of other artist's work, then I don't see the problem. Instead of the works being in Bowie's home where no one could see them, they'll be in someone else's home where no one can see them. However, if it's art work by Bowie himself, then I think it would of interest to see them in a public place...
