Who wants to live forever - Queen

=========================================

There must be an echo on the Forum ;-)

I feel that this is a good time to point out that "Who wants to live forever" was written for one of the best films of the 80s... Highlander!

Who could forget the moving scene when Heather (good scottish name that) was aging whilst Connor stayed young, and he stayed with her til she died an old lady. *wipes tear from eye*

There can be only one! >:D<

Not to mention his ...mmm... aussie accent in ..err.. zardoz.

And to think, if it wasn't for Highlander we'd never have had the superlative Highlander II The Quickening (named after the equally riveting accountancy package), or even the unfathomable Highlander III The Sorcerer, or the quite simply unmatchabley clich?d Highlander IV ironically named Endgame, or even the as yet unreleased Highlander V The Source.

Or Highlander the Series (of terrible programmes) or Highlander The Raven, beggaring belief by being even worse than all of the above (other than Highlander IV of course).

All of this from an extended Queen video. Amazing really.

Actually I had a secret soft spot for the series for reasons I don't think I'll ever understand, silly but watchable late night tv. The rest of it was truly woeful however, and if ANYONE can make sense of Highlander II I'll eat my hat.

Or something...and the pointless shield in the sky, and the terrible nonsensical editing. Reminded me of Metro with Eddy Murphy for that, editing so bad, scenes just had no context and made no sense.

Aaanyway

    • The regulator has approved 2nd class deliveries on alternate days, excluding Saturdays. So Monday, Wednesday and Friday on week 1. Tuesday and Thursday on week 2. Don't know when it starts but in theory it will be better than the current haphazard service. Earlier this week I received bills and other items which had been in the post for 2 weeks. Definitely not the fault of the posties.
    • has lost a Bengal cat there was one wandering around Townley Road this morning - I'm assuming it is not the norm for this fellow to be out and about solo but I'm not a cat expert... IMG_5815.heic IMG_5819 2.heic
    • Hi everyone, I'm Gen, a catsitter based in Sydenham - if you're away this summer and need some care for your pets, please do consider me!  I can typically cover Sydenham, Forest Hill, Penge, Anerley, Crystal Palace, East Dulwich and parts of Peckham. If it's outside those areas, it still might be worth messaging me to see if I can help. I'm registered with Cat in a Flat, with flawless reviews – I'm happy to accept clients through there, or just directly (you can just DM me on the forum here) - whichever you're more comfortable with. I've been catsitting for a few years, and also used to volunteer for Celia Hammond. Here's my profile https://catinaflat.co.uk/pet-sitter/377081 Ping me a message if you need help or have any questions!
    • And we humans bear a lot of responsibility for creating the conditions that brought foxes into urban settings. I certainly don't regard them as pests - they are noisy little criminals, but I'm very fond of them (we have huge numbers of them in my area - I rescued a lost baby fox earlier this year). However, there are pest control companies that use humane methods to deter them and redirect them to different territories (a friend of mine works for one, but sadly for OP, I don't think this is in their catchment area).
