About two months ago, I got two tickets on the same day.

The first was a fair cop - although thinking about it, the signposting wasn't clear (it was in Lambeth - one side of the road for residents, the other Pay and Display.)

The second one really angered me. I parked directly opposite a P&D machine on the other side of the road. Above the machine was a sign that said I could park there. I paid my money, came back, and found a ticket - timed at about three seconds after I'd parked. The explanation on the ticket was that I was parked on a residents bay. So I went back later to work it out - and found that thirty metres down the road was a sign that said the three bays in question were for residents. OK, so why was the sign thirty metres away and not directly by the bays? Misleading or what?

But do you know what, I couldn't be bothered appealing because they're a bunch a money-grabbing XXXXXXXs that don't understand logic.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
