Sonners
I've never used Denmark Hill station before but need to be in Chelsea for 9.30am tomorrow. Can you usually get on the 7.53am to Victoria or would I be better getting an earlier one?I'm going to see a new client so don't want to find I can't get on a train and be late!!Thanks for any replies. Gubodge
I've never had a problem getting on at Denmark Hill as so many people get off for Kings. They carriages can get uncomfortably crowded further up the line though. Applespider
You'll be fine. The 7.59 is sometimes quieter since it's a fast train and lots of people get on the 7.53 instead. I usually get on the first carriage without any problem although you need to stand. If you stay further down the train (closer to the stairs), then you may even get a seat. Best of luck with the new client - and don't panic if you are running late. I used to get the 8.30 on occasions and still make it to South Kensington for 9am. hollyc
I always get the 8.18 from Denmark Hill to Victoria and haven't ever had any problems - always get to work in South Kensington for 8.45! genwilliams
They are often rammed, yes. You'll be able to get on (I've never not been able to), but unless you're lucky, don't expect the most comfortable journey.
