stevebailey
............so, any thoughts on tonight's outcome?I really want to believe we are going to go out there and cream them, but can't rid this nagging doubt in my head that has happened a million times before that we will leave ourselves needing to win 3 or 4 nil to go through 2nd in our group, or even worse not make it through at all!!I just don't get it, on paper we have a very decent team, why oh why do we never look like we are going to walk it!!! pk
it should be a win, but i think that england need this one to be by 3/4 in order to be in with a good chance of winning the group and (assuming germany win their group) opening up a (relatively) easy run to the the semis Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11837-england-v-algeria/#findComment-333389 Share on other sites

stevebailey
Did I jinx it?OR am I just getting used to the same old same old from a team that has no incentive whatsoever to do well.Sure a few of the players want to do well for themselves and their country, unfortunately capello sat with his thumb up his arse all night and left them on the bench!!!So any guesses on how LUCKY we will be on Wednesday? USA draw and we get a cheeky goal or purely on lots??What a depressing start to the weekend! SteveT
Another carefully controlled, and measured performance by our lads, they are keeping the best till last, obviously. Is Heskey a little overweight and slightly slower than one might expect, for one of the very best eleven players we have?We shall have to put it down to er altitude! SteveT
There is one man I would happily shoot in this world cup, the one who makes those awful crappy noisey horns. At any ground in the UK you can hear the gasps of tension in a game, which all helps to make you feel included, and I really miss it, these brainless cretinous horn-blowing morons are ruining a vital part of our game. It's not the same watching with the sound off either, bar studs!Algeria seemed fitter and faster than our lot, but that was equalled out by not being as effective as our top team, perhaps. Nil, nil draw does not suggest either team was that effective though.
